I'd like to see the young kids get some serious ice time vs. the Leafs. Eller, DD, Pouliot, etc. Martin needs to give them opportunity to get on the score sheet. Their play doesnt necessarily warrant it, but a guy like Pouliot gets a goal his confidence will skyrocket. We need these guys to get some mojo going in the playoffs. Last year bottom liners like Moore and Lapierre brought it, not sure who it's going to be this year.

Total package. He and Pacioretty are our PF's.

Need more players like these two.

Good news is Buffalo plays Philly tomorrow at home. Bad news is they travel to Columbus on saturday. Montreal and Columbus were tied for 25th out of 30 in the league in goals for prior to tonight. Only 4 or 5 teams worse than us. Pretty sad offensive output this year.

Lets root for Buffalo against Philly. The pens could take the division and Boston probably takes 2nd. This sets us up for Habs-Pens.

Tell you the truth I would rather play the Pens than the Bruins. I know we have gave them major trouble for many years, but something about this year and this team I don't like. We have no toughness to play the Bruins. The Pens on the other hand play more our style.

At least Cammy is getting hot. What is it 3 goals in 4 games now?

We need Halpern back, our depth isn't doing anything.

LOLmez or Pyatt...who scores first?

I just can't picture Pouliot doing anything in the playoffs other than suck.

Soft play, fly-by poke checks, falling down. Yuck.

If Halpern is healthy I'd rather have Pyatt in than Pouliot. Not like we are going to lose anything in the scoring department. Pyatt adds more hustle and probably grit.

Can't see them re-signing Pouliout next year, that money can be better served on an actual third liner, or a guy like Laich who can play both roles.

Well, Pyatt has actually scored more recently than Gomez so does that count?

What it could also mean, is that it makes Boston finish 2nd and us....7th....Habs and Boston will meet.

We got ripped on that deal. Lats got off to a quick start and was putting up some points before the big lengthy injury. I think he was going to put up 30 plus goals this year no sweat. Our system along with some players are handcuffing the rest of the team. Its causing individuals to not be able to produce more. Both SK and and Lats turned their carrers around after leaving the Habs.

This means no Washington to play against. It will be either Philly or Boston.

Me too.. I think the Habs could win a series against the Bruins but a Pens/Habs series would be a better series that I'd enjoy more than playing the zoo squad.. A Bruins/Sabres 1st round matchup would be very interesting too if Miller is healthy..

I'm not really defending Pouliot, but think that Martin has trouble with getting his bottom two lines going. He's way too dependant on his big guns it seems. Carbonneau was better in that regard.

Now, who do you want to play in the playoffs, Philly, Pittsburgh or Boston?

Or the Pens will finish above the Flyers into 2nd place in the East and the Habs finish 7th and we play the Pens..

That, and I am also tired of playing the B's all the time first round. It seems that way anyways. Buffalo plays well against Boston so they might want to try and jump up to our spot. I hope Buffalo wins both games.
