I know they're a local station, but I literally lasted 5 minutes last time I tried to watch a Ducks game on there.

I remember watching Wally George on KDOC as a kid. Apparently, the technology at the station has not been upgraded since then.

I remember as a kid watching kdoc (channel 52) when I got home from school go see Giagantor, Kimba the White Lion and Speed Racer. The screen is all static and then this music starts for a few minutes and then the fun started.

FWIW... KDOC DOES broadcast in HD (the game will be in HD on KDOC for those who can receive it in HD), but only a few broadcast providers carry their HD signal. Some TimeWarner areas have it, as does AT&T U-Verse. DirecTV does not. DISH I believe does carry the HD feed but I'm not certain.

If you have Charter, HD feed is on channel 710 for those who receive it.
Cox carries KDOC on channel 712 in HD
On TimeWarner the HD channel is 406.

OK so if we win tomorrow, and Nashville, Chicago and Phoenix lose, we clinch 4th place. Sounds easy enough..

If the Kings win, then only Nashville and Phoenix need to lose. Chicago won't be able to catch us in 4th (nor will Anaheim).

The Kings can reach 102 points - no other team in contention can reach 102 points as of now except the Kings. They control their own destiny.

Kings games remaining: 2. Maximum points: 102
Nashville. Games remaining: 2. Maximum points: 101. Kings’ 4th seed magic number: 4
Phoenix. Games remaining: 2. Maximum points: 101. Kings’ 4th seed magic number: 4
Chicago. Games remaining: 2. Maximum Points: 99 Kings' 4th seed Magic number: 2
Anaheim. Games remaining: 2. Maximum points: 99. Kings’ 4th seed magic number: 2

If we can win both Anaheim games, and Dallas wins tomorrow, then the ducks will be forced to sweat until Sunday when Dallas plays their last game at Minnesota.

That would be delicious.

So delicious it has to be fattening.

If ANA only gets one point or none out of their 2 games vs. the Kings, they could easily miss the playoffs entirely.

If you're a Dallas fan, this may give you a coronary: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL/W...fic/Stars.html

Just look at THOSE scenarios. If Dallas wins tomorrow, the Kings win and Detroit wins, their odds for making the playoffs jump from 29.7 to 67.5%!

Actually, we still clinch if Chicago wins (and the other things happen obviously).

Might just have to dig deep into the pocket for some money to see this one in person to spare the aggrevation of listening to the duck guys on a fuzzy public access channel.

Oh, and the ducks blog seems worried that the incoming Kings fans are going to go all "dodgers parking lot" on the ducks fans. Kind of insulting if you ask me...

http://ducks.ocregister.com/2011/04/...-sanity/62685/
I got all kinds of questions about how Kings fans treat opposing fans while in San Jose watching that blowout from the Sharks. People are genuinely afraid to come down to LA and watch a hockey game at Staples Center!

Don't get me wrong, horrible incident, but it was one incident. Media blows things out of proportion as usual.

It's not even a new incident. Pretty sure a Dodger fan stabbed and killed a Giant fan a few years back.

Brawls at Dodger Stadium aren't uncommon, but they happen in the nose bleeds and usually involve gangster types loaded on cheap beer.

They target opposing fans and mostly just yell slurs at them, throw food etc. Get decent seats and don't wear opposing team gear and you will be fine. Heck, even with opposing team gear you will mostly be fine, just stay away from the cheap seats.

As for the Ducks, they can be taken down. I look forward to this one and the hilarious commentary I'll probably get from the Ducks feed.

It's difficult to be optimistic about these next two games.

The Ducks have 4 game breaking forwards, and a number #1 defenseman who's actually playing like a #1 defenseman.

The Kings have none of these things.
