Very simple. We're tied in points with them and they hold the tiebreaker. We just need to get one more point than they do tomorrow.

Lol you know what comes to mind when the Rangers are having a bad game and give up a bad goal? That Lil John song "Shots" it kind of has a Benny Hill feeling to me. Watch the highlights of last game to that song and tell me you don't laugh.

I've been saying for a couple years now that they should play Yakety Sax (The Benny Hill theme song) over the PA at the Garden during Ranger Power Plays. It would make them a lot more tolerable.

Agreed. The team should play hard because they get paid a ****-load of money to do so.

It would be nice if they earned their paychecks every night, and we are where we are because they did NOT, not because of fans with attitudes.

Win or lose tomorrow this is the most fun season I've had watching this team since 2006. We've continued to watch this young team grow up together as guys like Callahan, Dubinsky, Anisimov, Sauer, McDonagh, Girardi, Staal, Stepan, Boyle and Prust took the next step forward and continued to develop in their own ways, all as large pieces of the future.

This team deserves to make the playoffs, but if they don't I've still truly enjoyed watching this team grow and mature and look forward to next season regardless.

Let's go out with a bang and kick the **** out of the Devils, and pray for the Lightning to win tomorrow night. Lets go Rangers.

Three scenarios

Rangers Win
Carolina loses in regulation

Rangers Win
Carolina loses in OT/SO

Rangers lose in OT
Carolina loses in regulation

That's it.

If Carolina wins in SO and Rangers win, the Rangers would lose the Head-to-Head tie-breaker.

In last year's system, the Rangers based on having more overall wins would hold the tie-breaker. Of course the Rangers may be the first team to fall victim to the new rule.

First team to miss on a shootout, first team to miss on a ROW possibly....I can't wait to see what next season brings.

First team to hit the 90 point mark before everyone else, and miss the playoffs.

Abandon hope all ye who enter this GDT, for 'tis the last of this season.

Stupid culmination of failure and suck!

I would like to see the NHL implement a new rule where if your team doesn't get in the playoffs they give you back your god damn $300 you wasted on Gamecenter watching them all year!

I'm rooting for the Caps in the playoffs since the Rangers won't be there. That's right I gave up...so did the ****ing Rangers.

Heh.

That's bad news - it's from a bolts fan.

we're the laughing stock of the nhl again. stuck in no man's land. can't believe it's come to this.

That loss to Atlanta took the Boston comeback and just obliterated it tenfold.
