As long as we don't end up in eighth place, I'm good.

It is sad how every game I see where a team pulls the goalie to get offense at the end of the game they either pull it off and score with almost no time or they have a couple really good chances. We pull the goalie and spend most of that time in our own zone.

Yes. Murray's job has never been in danger.

Three EPIC series, and one that nobody gives a damn about; I'll take it.
Only way we get a Top 6 is if we win tomorrow. I don't think the Ducks are just gonna roll over because they clinched.

Murray better tell these guys to play the best ****ing game of their seasons tomorrow. If they lose, we're probably playing the Canucks. Detroit is playing like crap and Chicago has their number, and I see no chance of a hungry Blackhawk team wanting a playoff spot losing to a unmotivated Wing team.

That's because other teams maintain possession of the puck.

Well, Quick played well, and Ellis actually made some pretty big saves to keep his team in it. The problem is, when the Kings get a prime rebound or scoring chance, the guy taking it is usually someone like Ponikarovsky or Lewis.

With Williams and Kopi out, they just have no finish. I honestly don't know how they get more goals out of this lineup and with this system. I wouldn't be surprised to see Murray up the line shuffling as we go along here. That's the only thing at his disposal to try and see if he can find some combo that can get some goals.

Yep, Lombardi has the good ol' BWS (battered woman syndrome) when it comes to firing his old coaches.

That's been my thought as well. With Phoenix you get Bryzgalov, who has pretty much owned the Kings over his career. Give me Howard over Bryzgalov any day.

Murray has LA playing some great defense which is a must have for any team. The only problem is we can't score. There are a few things Murray has done that I don't agree with, but I'm happy with him as a coach.

Murray's job was already safe, add in the "injuries" excuse and its rock solid.

Have you been watching Doughty & Johnson? Mitchell would be a better option at this point. At lest he don't hold onto the puck until his shooting lane is closed off.

I'd be surprised if we scored more than a goal in the series, let alone win a game.

Please not the Knucks...they will troll us for weeks and I can't stand them.

BTW: Penner is not responding good when under pressure, look at his time with Oilers.

Looking at the standings, it works like this.

We MUST win tomorrow. Even a OT/SO loss does nothing. That would pretty much be the same thing except if Detroit beats Chicago in OT/SO on the final day.

A win and we clinch at least the 6th seed. A REGULATION loss from the Predators to the Blues or Coyotes to the Sharks + Kings win would get the Kings into 5th. If both those teams lose in regulation + Kings win, they take 5th.

If Kings lose tomorrow, they will finish either 7th or 8th. If Chicago beats Detroit on the final day + Kings loss tomorrow, we drop all the way to 8th and play Vancouver.

Guys.. most teams win their final fan appreciation home games of the season. It's not the end of the world.

It was a tight 2-1 game. They'll all be like this. I was impressed the Kings neutralized the Ducks offense save for the old man. The Ducks have been on an absolute tear.

If the Kings win tomorrow they'll finish from 4th-6th. That means a date with Detroit, Phoenix or Nashville - all would be fine with me.

It's ironic that Murray demands two-way play by all of his forwards, yet coaches defense only.

Possession is the key to a solid two-way game and the dump and pray is counter to this. I think the Kings are now 24th in the NHL on offense. The lowest of any playoff team, just behind Montreal.

The dux had more to gain than kings had to lose. It's a loss, no biggie.

Let's close it out with a win tomorrow.
