Sweden U-18 WJC Roster

This is my team:

Jeremy Boyce - Viktor Rask - Mika Zibanejad
Ponus Åberg - Joachim Nermark - Viktor Arvidsson
Sebastian Collberg - Linus Fröberg - Filip Forsberg
Ludwig Blomstrand - William Karlsson - Gustav Björklund
Fredrik Händemark

Jonas Brodin - Kalle Johansson
Rasmus Bengtsson - Oskar Klefbom
Mikael Wikstrand - Albin Blomqvist
Joachim Ryan

Joel Lassinantti
Oscar Dansk
Marcus Due-Boje

Might lack roleplayers, but meh... four scoring lines is cool.

Any way we put it the top-4 D and top-6 forwards will be very strong. I'd want Dansk as the starting goalie, though, and just like Cheerupmurray I want Collberg to be there. Hopefully Rakell will make it.

Petter Runesson, MODO, any sort of chance of him making the team?

I don't know really, he shoots right which might help his chances, all the d-men I listed shoots left. Im sure there is some hidden gems that should be on the team, I for one really likes the way Leksands big center Fredrik Händemark plays. Maybe we will see some standout performances in the j-20 and j-18 playoffs that will change the team.

I don't know what to expect from this years team, this is rumoured to be a good agegroup, but the results have been so and so after the good Ivan Hlinka-tournament.

I would say no chance. Didn't he played for the national team when Modo J20 was still in the playoffs? I think that say's it all.

Rakell's team made it to the next playoff round, and he's also injured from what I have gathered. Too bad.

Pontus Åberg with a fantastic move that lead to the 1-0 goal in the j-20 semifinals between Djurgården and Skellefteå that is shown here: http://www.hockeyakademin.se/?page_id=471.
Just another indication that it was a stupid decision.

At this point i am not optimistic for reaching gold medal game. Brodin will probably not be participating, Aberg being snubbed, Rask, Nermark and Boyce all been playing sub-par as of late.

Boyce - Zibanejad - Forsberg
Rask - Nermark - Arvidsson
Bjorklund - Karlsson - Blomstrand
Wedin - Froberg - Marklund
(Handemark)

Bengtsson - Johansson
Klefbom - Vikstrand
Nielsen - Blomqvist
(Nilsson)

Lundstrom
Lassinantti
