The playoff matches IMO could not have been better for us.

Caps/Rags: The Rangers have posed a problem for the Caps all season. They could definitely take out the Caps for us, and the Habs generally do well against the Rangers.

Flyers/Sabres: Buffalo's been one of the hottest teams since the all-star break, and they both generally give the Habs trouble so for one of them to take the other out is a blessing. Especially if it's Buffalo beating out Philly.

Habs/Bruins: History's coming back for another round, baby.

Pens/Bolts: no significant points in this matchup, but two iffy teams taking out each other is nice for the rest of us.

All in all, this is another year where the Eastern 5-6-7-8 seeds could very realistically win the first round.

So tonight solidified Ryan White as my favorite hab

Congrats Martin, good to see him smiling too!

Also, as much as I can't stand Martin's coaching style, it's absolutely perfect for a series against an undisciplined team like Boston. As long as the boys buy in, they can take the series. Might take a game or two to get it going but I say habs in 6.

PLAYOFF SEASON!!!!

it was close but the call on the ice was no goal, and i didn't see a clear view of the puck going all across the line, one angle looked like it might but was a bad angle.

so the call was the right one

But Congrats to Montreal. Worked hard all night.

Back to backs don't bother me that much. One will be in Boston one in Montreal.

Well, this Bruins fan is absolutely overjoyed and thrilled to be playing your team AGAIN.

Oh well, it is what it is. Hope it's a series for the ages going 7 with game 7 going into triple overtime.

I like the lineups of the East..

Washington vs Rangers : two robust teams. They will hurt each other
Philly vs Sabres: Philly might smash their head against a hot Sabres and strong Miller
Boston vs Montreal: I believe we have the intangible advantage. If we pull a win early in Boston, we have te advantage. If we sweep the first 2, we got them.
Pitts vs Tampa: two offence oriented team. Lot of energy spent there, won't be ready to face us or the Sabres when it's gonna be our turn.

Is this year our year?

waiting for someone to back me up... but it was when he was announcing the matchups, Not surprising since CBC is carrying the games that they hear early.

I know you can't play on the 20th, but they should have played Wed-Fri. Back to back to get the Habs/Boston game on Sat night is stupid.

Loving the way the playoff series match up.

I really see Buffalo as a dark horse. When they are on, they are one hell of a team. They will give philly a run for their money.

Rangers will beat Washington, no doubt. Why? John Tortorella vs. Boudreau. If the Rangers win it would make our second round matchup way way better.

Pens and T Bay will just be a really fun series to watch, but I don't see either of them being major factors in round two unless Sid comes back. If the habs go to round 2, I see them facing one of these two.

In other news, a sudden wave of heart attacks have struck the cities of Montreal and Boston despite the two cities being hundreds of miles apart.

I'm still laughing over Ron Mclean making a Nas reference tonight by calling Corey Perry "half-man, half-amazing."
