I thought it might also have been Jay Beagle's first last night, but Joe Beninati corrected my faulty assumption soon after he scored.

40 players have scored their first career goal on Marty. Only one thus far has gotten more than 75 goals, Evgeni Malkin.

Thanks CJ didn't realize it even existed. With all these trade threads or negative threads it will come in handy. Team is bad enough without extra aggravation. I will start with this thread SEE YA

Just a little bump for Ryan McDonagh.

This is all Matt Loughlin's fault. On the radio, he said McDonagh is looking for his first NHL goal. Literally five seconds later, he scored.

It's annoying every time it happens.

Well, he's generally bad against guys he doesn't know. He's played 20 years in the league. It happens. Just seems to be more frequent than with any other goalie. I started noticing it a few years ago, obviously.

Well every rookie has to get his first against somebody, I guess. Just sucks that it has to be Marty so often.

He played for the Danbury Mad Hatters of the EPHL, back before that league folded! Holy ****, did he seriously score his first NHL goal on Brodeur?

Sorry to bump this thread again but yes, he did. February 16, 2001 when the Devils tied the Penguins 4-4. I remember it. It was awful. He only socred once more against Tampa in November of 2001.

Is anyone surprised so many players have scored their first goal against Marty? He's played 1132 career games.

Yes, but the amount of players is still a crazy number. Lots of crappy players too in my opinion

He averages about one every 30 games. Is that number high? I don't know.

Thought about this as soon as I saw him touch the puck tonight. With both Cotourier AND Read playing tonight, Brodeur didn't stand a chance!
