Series Schedule

Is the schedule of the series official? I have heard Danny Dubé on the radio talk about a back to back situstion (game 2 in Boston Saturday and game 3 in Montreal Sunday)

I also hope they are not both afternoon games......

I'm praying it's Thu-Sat-Mon. Gives us enough time to get a day in between games, and for me to study for a midterm.

When they played Ottawa yesterday, Dubé said that if we were to play Boston, it would officially start on April 14th for the Habs and Bruins.

I really want this:

Thursday @ BOS
Saturday @ BOS
Sunday @ MTL
Tuesday @ MTL
Thursday @ BOS
Saturday @ MTL
Tuesday @ BOS

If so, I can go to games 3 and 6. Already took off the Monday the 18th so I can drive to Montreal for game 3.

According to Marc-Antoine Godin (LaPresse), Games 1 and 2 are set in stone for Thursday and Saturday while the unconfirmed rumor is that Game 3 is on Sunday.

I only hope the saturday's game isn't in the afternoon, as I have a final exam scheduled there (**** you UQAM). I hate afternoon games.

The Sunday game might be because of the Rush concert on Wednesday April 20th at the Bell Centre...

They'd do Sun-Tue in Mtl.

I also heard if it was Boston it was going to be Thursday and Saturday in Boston and Sunday in Montreal. Boston also has the Celtics to worry about so the Garden isn't available and there is the Rush concert in Montreal

Wednesday 13 april : Celtics @Garden
Wednesday 20 april : Rush concert @BellCenter

Simple solution, give the home advantage to Montreal

Wed 13 @Montreal
Sat 16 @Montreal
Mon 18 @ Boston
Wed 20 @ Boston
Friday 22 @ Montreal
Sunday 24 @ Boston
Tuesday 26 @ Montreal

I think the season should start before any talk about playoffs.

In all seriousness now though, thank you for the heads up.

If they are forced to do a back to back because of Rush, than they should have Sunday off, play Monday and Tuesday.

It at least gives the players a day off after flying back home.

This.

It makes much more sense then having a game Saturday night then one Sunday afternoon after having both teams just fly over to montreal.

Back to Back Monday Tuesday makes much more sense. The only problem with this is that both games in Montreal would be back to back where as the other scenario would be a home and home.

Maybe the NHL feels that back to back home games gives the home team a bigger advantage with no day off?

I mean it would explain why their back to back games would be in Boston and MTL.

Either way... I hate back to back games in playoffs..Unless every series has ATLEAST ONE back to back game.. then it's stupid.

LOL...you got me there. Fingers must be hoping for a resolution on that front. If we're lucky, someone will leak the NHL Playoff Schedule for the East, since we're all locked up already.

Sucks for you guys. Happened to me in the past too. When Habs make the playoff, my grades were always lower than when they don't.
