The TV schedule hasn't been determined and it is partly dictated by the other seven series.

The NHL will likely produce the schedules, including broadcast outlets, tonight, in at least for the first four games.

We'll probably get an NBC game.

MSE, do you know the latest status of Pronger and Betts?

Betts is all but assured to be playing. Pronger is more of a question. Holmgren said in the last 48 hours that the time prior to Game 1 will be used as rest. The issue is still grasping the stick. Indications are that he should be ready but that is less guaranteed than Betts.

Good luck in the series, boys. I've always had respect for Philly. Your fans may get a bad rep around here, but they(other fans) don't understand passion. Buffalo is the same way.

Love the history our two teams have between eachother. This should be a great series. Once again, Good luck, but not too much, of course!=D

Who do y'all expect/prefer out of Carcillo/Zherdev?

I'm assuming Carcillo will play.

I'd lean towards Niko myself as I like our lineup better with an offensive threat like JVR next to Richards.

Carcillo got less than 6 minutes of ice time last game. Nik got 11 so I would assume he stays for now

Lavy has said repeatedly that Zhedev is not a 4th line player, so I don't think he'd play, although it might be different if he really is working harder and such. One great shift from him can turn a game and perhaps a series.

It's not really a case of him being a 4th liner I don't think.

Seems like our lineup will either be:

Zherdev Carter Giroux
Hartnell Briere Leino
Riemsdyk Richards Versteeg
Nodl Betts Powe

or

Riemsdyk Carter Giroux
Hartnell Briere Leino
Nodl Richards Versteeg
Carcillo Betts Powe

Nodl has been great on the 4th line, so I think for now Lavi leaves Z in the top 9, Nodl on the 4th and scratches Carcillo for Betts.

Betts-Powe-Nodl or Nodl-Betts-Powe

I actually doubt that - I would think NBC would choose Detroit or the WSH/NYR series over this one.

But then again, it all depends on how many games this goes and how the schedule actually works.

I don't see this being less than 6 games in either direction. Too many variables to honestly make a prediction, so I'll cop out and won't (especially considering what board I'm posting on ) Good luck!

NBC claimed picking WSH/NYR a few years ago was a mistake and didn't draw ratings (they've never been matched up on NBC since). They put the Sabres with Boston on NBC last year in the playoffs, and I know NBC considers the Flyers in higher standing. That's my thinking at least.

I'm kinda with you on the 6 games prediction. I think it could go one way or the other; I've been saying of the Flyers that I see them out in one round or getting to the Finals, with it being more or less a toss-up. If they flip that switch, Finals. If they don't, we'll lose early.

And while I thank you for coming in and being cordial, I am not going to wish your team luck. I will wish them luck in that I hope nobody gets injured, but honestly I hope the Sabres have rotten luck otherwise.

I realize I'm trolling, but considering you trolled all over the Sabres thread and made the Flyers fans look bad, I don't care.

The Sabres have routinely been atop the league in attendance, they pack thousands of people outside the arena to watch their playoff games, and even when they're not playing, the Sabres market is still atop the league in ratings during the Stanley cup playoffs/finals.

That said, I love rivalries, and can't wait for the next chapter to be written.

Sabres best team in the east post ASG.
Tough series.
If the good team shows up, we win

ASF was on WIP last night and said basically that Pronger is most likely going to sit out Game 1. If the Flyers win Game 1, he might sit out Game 2 too, but if they lose Game 1, he'll be back for Game 2 definitely.

Not sure how trustworthy ASF is though.

A healthy and well rested Ryan Miller is a terrifying thought.

Bob getting pulled last night against the islanders with the division on the line does not exactly inspire confidence in me.

I'm nervous.

It really didn't get a lot easier though with Price, Lundqvist or Ward though. The way back ups do Vezina impressions on us even Enroth could be a little frightening.
