Will Kirk Muller be signed by another team?

As of now this is of course pure speculation but it is a possibility. Lemaire has announced he will resume his retirement, leaving New Jersey without a coach. This is in addition to Florida, Ottawa and the possibility of a few others (Minnesota, Columbus, Calgary, Colorado.) So I am curious on everyone's thoughts in regards to teams inquiring about Kirk, potentially inking him to a deal and what the ramifications would be for us going forward.

I'd be pissed. Depends on what the Habs tell him. He's probably next in line after Martin, so he might not be all too eager to accept something elsewhere, except maybe for the Devils.

Assuming you mean Muller I'd rather him stay here and become our Head Coach after Martin.

I am pretty sure he has already stated he is leaving at the end of the season. He was offered head coaching jobs last summer and turned them down but said it is time for him to become a head coach somewhwere.

Patient for what? He doesn't speak french and it's a big no no here so I doubt he would get the coaching job in Montreal. If he is offered a job, he is gone IMO

Show martin the door if need be, if Muller walks this team will have even less passion and just be a bunch of skating zombies. I think he could turn the team around and maybe we get some exciting hockey for a change.

I really like Muller, and think he will be a good head coach. I hope he stays and is Martin's future replacement, but I think he will get offers this summer and may be foolish to turn them down.

Yea imagine if the habs got to play in ecf how exciting that would be and it certainly wont happen with jack martin as coach.

Was he coach? I thought he was the goalie stopping 40+ shots a night and setting the league on fire.

Oh wait he was the one who TOLD Halak to stop everything, I forgot that was his "game plan". I bet a lot of other coaches wish they thought of that gem.

There would have been about 40 more shots a night, but Martin's gameplan on forcing shots to the outside and clogging up the shooting lanes helped Halak A LOT, I would say.

I wish! This sounds right, but reality is that it probably won't happen.

i think kirk is the real head coach of the habs but unfortunately not officially. I think he's good as gone, other teams will be all over him.

Word from HNIC on Saturday after the game was he's on top of Ottawa's list. It would be sad to see him go, he's the only one of our main management group that isn't part of that '96 Senators club. It will be interesting to see who replaces him, should he leave.

I gotta think Dave Cameron is the lock for Ottawa.

My money is on Muller going to Jersey

He's NJ bound. Would be funny to see him go there and DeBoer take his place here, seeing as Jacques hired PD in Florida.
