For those asking about the RPG line, Carlyle every now and then puts Ryan on the third line for small stretches to get him motivated. Usually happens when he starts going cold but I do expect RC to go back to RPG to start the playoffs.
In the last two games, Caryle put Beleskey up with the twins. He does an admirable job, but of course does not possess the talent of Ryan.
Could be something that Caryle might do to encourage some depth scoring.
Good luck to the Preds...They're the last team I wanted Anaheim to have to face in round 1. I think it's going to be a tough series for both teams and very difficult to predict. I think it'll come down to Anaheim's goaltending. Hiller out, Emery out, and down to Ellis...not quite sure what to expect. With that said, good luck guys!
Good luck, Preds. I was hoping to be able to root for y'all but going up against the Ducks I just can't do that. Though, if the Preds come out on top in this series I'll be cheering for them to go all the way.
Hawks fan here. Just want to wish you guys good luck. I may bleed red, white and black, but I have a soft spot for the Preds. I hope you can put in a serious run and do some major damage in the playoffs (just not against us).
I want to see hockey succeed down there and I hope there is a playoff buzz in Nashville.
Don't agree with Anaheim having two scary lines. More like they have 1 1/3 REALLY scary lines. Their second line I believe is Blake-Koivu-Selanne. Koivu and Blake are solid players but far from scary.
I'd disagree with the not scary line, Koivu is averaging goal per game versus us.
As far as the series is concerned, I hope we get a chance to close out at home, though I really won't be picky if we can just win a series! Ducks are the "hottest" team in the league, but every streak comes to an end..with the time off they could cool off. Also, the Predators/Ducks season series should have been 3-0-1 if it weren't for that damned 1.7 seconds left in the game goal they scored.
People to watch for: Surprisingly I'm going with Dan Ellis vs Pekka Rinne. Rinne "won" the job from Ellis, I'd think we will get an Ellis that is out for blood. We're going to need to score early and quick to get wins in this series. I feel like even with a 3 goal lead in the 3rd I'll still be nervous though
