This is really quite crappy for the fan that wants to attend both games.

I would love to go and see them play there! But I still don't think this is a good idea...

I would consider going, (having never been to Europe) but that soounds like it would be very difficult travel to get from Stockholm to Berlin from after 10 one night to sometoime around 7pm the next day.

And how am I possibly going to get the travel arranged from Vegas (Frozen Fury) to LA to Stockholm to Berlin done. Add an side trip to Amsterdam (if Im going to Western Europe, right?) thats impossible

This is BS. I bet there isn't any other Pacific coast teams going over there to start the season.

Anaheim is apparently going as well. Kings, Rangers, Sabres and Ducks.

Possbile exhibition game against my hometeam, or at the very least in my city, now that sounds nice.

I'm in for sure. Still mad I missed London.

Also, a one way flight from Stockholm to Berlin is going to cost you about 80 bucks and is only a 90 minute flight. That is no big deal at all.

I may go to the game in Germany, IF I can combine it with a business trip. I am working with an outfit in Basil, Switzerland that I may be visiting from time to time in the future.

So the Ducks and Kings would be going, but wouldn't play each other? That seems kind of dumb of the NHL to do that.

Rangers play in Stockholm.

Then play a game in the Winter Classic.

That's why we're playing only the Rangers once in Europe.

Well, having the Kings and Sabres play against each other in Berlin makes sense, as the arena in Berlin belongs to Anschütz, while Buffalo is the only team of the four that has a German on the roster. I have no idea why they didn't go for Ducks-Kings in the opener though. Maybe they wanted to get some inter-conference games out of the way.

Just got a confirmation on a German hockey site, the Kings with play against the second German Anschütz team in Hamburg on the 4th of October.
source (in German): http://www.hockeyweb.de/home/artikel...-die-la-kings/

And what's even better, Hamburg's season ticket holders have first right to buy tickets, I knew that there was going to be something that made enduring the last few years worthwhile

Does this mean there's no Frozen Fury? Seriously, is training camp going to be in Europe, or do they have training camp here, break for a bit to get to Europe, then break for a bit to head home? What's the deal?

Frozen fury is October 1 in Vegas. According to one of the posts above, the Kings will Play in Hamburg on the 4th then apparently to Stockholm and back to Berlin. Thats a ****load of travel.

Vegas to Europe is obviously quite a trip but to be fair Stockholm, Berlin and Hamburg aren't too bad. It's probably much less than the average travel distance of when they play a Western Conference opponent.

The thinking is that why go to Europe in order to play a team (the Ducks) that is only 30 minutes down I 5. The as long as the Kings are making a trip to Europe why not play a few east coast teams. This would reduce a future road trip. Along the same lines, instead of returning directly back to LA, continue the road trip by playing a few east coast teams. Toronto, Pittsburgh or Montréal would be a short detour.
I don’t know if the Kings are going to play additional games on the east coast but after the trip to London in ’07 they expressed the desire to do so if they ever opened the season in Europe again.
