In a no check, men's league in Florida.
How's this for an impressive start?

1980, I was 19, and on a golf scholarship.
Playing in a men's league against Rosaire Paiment.
He was probably mid 40's by then, and if I remember, could only
see well (possibly at all) in one eye.
I came down the left wing, faked to the inside, went right around him on the boards to score.
I tried to get by him, oh, about 20 times after that in different games. No more element of surprise,
I ended up with no puck, or on my a$$ every other time
Never got by him again. He was a great guy to play in that league with!
