TV Blackout Question

Question regarding the NHL's blackout policy. I'm a Rangers fan (obviously) that currently lives in Chicago. I have NHL Center Ice. I know the package does not show games that are nationally broadcast (like those on NBC, Versus). Game 1 is scheduled to be broadcast on Versus, which leads me to beleive it will be blacked out on center ice.

However, this isn't a national broadcast because Versus also has the rights to another game at the same time (Red Wings I beleive). Because of that, I would guess I would get the Wings game on my local Versus network. Does that mean the NYR game will be available on Center Ice? Or will they just black it out anyways?

Any insights from those in similar situations last year or in years past?

The schedule on nhl.com says the opposite. Wings game is at 7:00 pm and Rangers game starts at 7:30 with JIP next to it..

Apologies. Not sure how blackout rules work with JIP games, but I would guess you'd get the game on CI.

Anyone know what the JIP suffix means? I realize that I "should" get the game on CI if it's not on Versus in my region, what I'm afraid of is if that does NOT happen!

EDIT: JIP = joined in progress. So Versus will have the NYR game during intermissions of the Detroit game. Anyone have insight as to how this impacts blackout restrictions?
