I was torn between Wellwood, Eager and Mitchell but landed on Mitchy.

I went with Hamburgerz Wellwood!

If he imagines the opponents heads to be In and Out Burgers he'll do fine!

I picked Eager. He won't get the minutes, but he will make the most of them.

I'm surprised nobody else seems worried about the 3rd line. Plenty of speed and playmaking ability but no size. Not as much of a problem in the regular season, but the playoffs are more physical. I wouldn't be surprised to see Heatley and Clowe broken up before the playoffs are through.

I'm going with Demers as well, this is the year he establishes himself as a legit top 4.

This.

The whole 4th line in general. I really think the 4th line is a huge improvement and something the sharks have been lacking in playoffs past.

Vlasic. Last game against LA he looked Boyle-esque, like he's finally figured it out. Carried the puck with poise and made sharp, clean passes and got quick shots on net. He just needs to do it with consistency, but I think he'll have a great series.

Wellwood. Our 3rd line is amazing.

Of course I am secretly hoping that mitchell busts out because then my amazing nickname Scorey Mitchgoals will catch on!

I have a good feeling about White's shot from the point. He's also never played a post-season game. Beginner's luck?

most likely the 3rd line will be seeing the more smaller guys on the teams.

and it didn't seem to bother pavs on most nights to go up against the big boys.

i really hate when people worry about size, it doesn't matter any more in the league like it used to. now you have guys like nichol going after guys like thornton and not having to worry about getting your head knocked in.

Murray. Not in a goal scoring way, but the physical play will set the tone, and wear guys out.

The size issue sure doesn't bother Briere in the playoffs. You can add Giroux as well. I am not going to bother finding others. You very well know that my take is that playoff scoring comes from guys who have moves. It is the opposite of what so many are claiming. 5on5 scoring definitely goes up in the playoffs.

I was going to go against the wind and say Niemi would falter early in the series and Niittymaki would come in for the save... but I don't think LA has a hope in hell against this San Jose team, regardless of who is in goal, so not picking him. I'm taking whoever the he1l pickles is.

Ah so that's why my friend is always uttering some annoying quote about Vlasic pickles when I play him in NHL 11. I get it now haha. I actually don't really like store bought pickles so excuse the missed reference.

Nichol.

I loved his game last year in the playoffs. Balls-out every shift.
