Owing Nolan nothing

Why is it that the nhl hasn't made any rulling on nolan. If the leafs could buy him out, that would greatly help JFJ make some desiions regarding ufa, 5.6 mill could bring in couple of players in. this contract dispute is taking longer than it should. It is obvious that Nolan disclosed this injury after it was known he was being bought out. WHAT A RAT

Let this topic die

He was already bought out. It wasn't made official because it's still not known whether the Leafs HAD to buy him out.

Once Bettman gets back from Russia, he will adress the Bertuzzi situation. After that is completed, he will move on to the Nolan problem.

It's already known that his salary will not count towards the Leafs' cap.

I believe they are going to arbitration but no matter what the result nothing applies against the cap. If leafs lose they just cut a check, it does and is not affecting the cap.
