Enjoy the series guys and gals
Thomas had a completely unsustainable .938 save percentage this year, his career average is .922 a .016 point difference. I'm not saying he isn't a top goaltender but he's been playing above his head and the Bruins have been dependant on that to save bail out their defense which allows the second most shots against in the league. Price on the other had has played at .923 to his career .916 in front of a middle of the pack 31.0 shots per game. To even get average defense the Bruins need Thomas to be strong. To get average defense the Habs just need Price to play to his average. Just because they have Chara in their lineup doesn't make the overall defense good.

Habs in 6

Let's hope Habs steal one of the fiest 2 games in Boston

Because if they do, I don't see Boston winning in Montreal

The winner of game 2 wins game 6. The winner of game 6 wins this series. No matter how long. It's all logical. We just have to wait till Saturday. To know.

What happens if the winner of game 1 wins games 3,4 and 5?

I posted this on another thread, so I thought I'd throw it out there again. Bruins in 7 with a goal by Tyler Seguin in triple overtime. See you all at the hospital with chest pains.

Here's too a tough gruelling series, folks. Enjoy.

What about Chara deflecting the puck in his own net in triple OT of game #7?

Karma is a *****. Ain't it?

Unbiased, you say? My Habs? Unbiased? What are you smoking? Habs will win in the second OT of Game7.

Apparently the computer predicted an almost certain loss for us bwahahaha

I dont see how MTL could loose against a team that have a century-old inferiority problem against us.

Even if I bashed MTL all year long and I still believe what I say about team toughness and grit; Boston only know to lose facing MTL in the playoffs. Numbers of last century as proof.

Habs in 6

Martin will find an answer to their top line by creating a checking line and Price will do the rest. We'll outplay their special teams. Recchi will trip over his old man junk, Bergeron's egg will crack open and birds will fly out, Marchand will spend the entire series in the box, we'll own their fourth line with speed/skill. At the end of game 6, the ice will crack and Chara will disappear... forever. Speed kills.

Go Habs Go

Then we'll sweep Washington, Philadelphia and Vancouver and I'll set fire to the newstand at the corner of Stanley and Ste-Catherine (just kiddin fellas!).

meh all these stats about how BOS is a better team. They are certainly better against the rest of the NHL than we are but they aren't playing the rest of the NHL. They are playing MTL, a team they are 3-9 against in their last 12 on top of the other numbers in the rivalry.

They match up horribly with us. They can't handle a speedy transition team and their offense is largely based of a forecheck that is nullified by how well Price plays the puck on dump ins. Their special teams are weak and they are a fragile team mentally. Their team is devoid of leadership or proven playoff performers (does anyone believe Horton is going to go nuts in his first ever playoff..Kaberle after 7 years? these guys are born losers) and their coach is unable to match other NHL coaches over a 7 game series.

They may get past us but we are the worst possible matchup for them. They play horribly against us from the goalie on out. I don't know why, maybe its the rivalry or maybe its the bell centre but the only way I see them winning is if everything goes right for them right off the hop (first goal, first game, both at home, etc) because the first sign that things might not be going their way and they'll fold like a cheap suit.

Habs in 6.

Or Pacioretty makes a surprise return for game 7 and deflects a shot in off of Chara's butt in the third OT. THAT would be karma biting the Bruins there.

I have to pick the Bruins in 6 for rational reasons.. Our only hope is in the net since I think Price is a much better goaltender but unfortunately, he cant do all alone.. Some people will have the chance too see why Thomas has so incredible stats, he has a pretty solid hockey machine playing in front of him.

I think TSN has a special show at 8. But there's no chance they pick the Habs.

Capitals and Pens were too, but we all know how those ended.

Habs in 6.

Split the first two on the road, losing the first and winning the second. Habs win both games at home, making the series 3-1. They then lose in Boston, making it 3-2 and seal up the series at home.

It seems Montreal are serious underdogs here...

I don't expect to be surprised either way.
