As the visiting team you want to always get off to a strong start by taking at least 1 of the two from their arena.

A little bulletin board material from Caps goaltender
http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/nhlblo...TJ7IeLjYz1dTsJ

I think I can outplay anyone with this team," the 23-year-old said Tuesday. "It's a lot about goaltending in the playoffs," Neuvirth said. "[Lundqvist] may be the best goalie in the league, but I think our shooters are better than theirs."

I'm in the same boat. But seeing as me jumping on her bed and screaming at the top of my lungs when I found out TB was up 3-0 on Carolina didn't scare her, I think I might be okay

The key matchup for me will be our top pairing against their top line. If Staal-Girardi are at their best, Rangers in 6.

Now Henrik is gonna be extra motivated to crap on this kid's life. 4 consecutive shutouts, Rangers sweep.

Might as well break her in to the madness of playoff hockey.

When I first started dating my wife, I went a little crazy in a bar after John MacLean slashed and broke Niklas Sundstrom's arm. She wasn't too happy but she got over it.

I wonder though man no doubt henrik is one of the prime talents in the pantheon of fine goaltending talents. Nobody has ever dropped a bad word on him but you gotta wonder if something like this doesn't drive him in a Jordan-esque way. He's absolutely taken over series before simply based on the will to win. You add even more fuel to that fire? The only time he's faced a team that knocked him outta the PO was NJ and we all remember how that series went. I'm hoping to see Hank emerge as a monster beyond monsters. If we have any hope of making it past the first round and we could hank would have to be Royqvist

Funny that not only did he call out the King but he called out the Ranger shooters.

I would love to shut these cocky bandwagoners up. I don't see it happening, but I hope our boys can make them sweat a bit.

I'd like to share a crazy bet I made with a new coworker who is from Maryland and is a die hard Caps fan.

Rangers Win: He has to put the Rangers Sasson Jeans Flyer as his desktop wallpaper for the entire 2nd round and has to bring bagels for everyone in my department.

Caps Win: I have to put a picture of John Druce as my desktop wallpaper for the entire 2nd round and buy a cake for the department.

Stakes are high; Rangers better help me out

I was at the Verizon center last year for game 7 with Pittsburgh. The fans were shocked that their team came out and played so poorly. Many of them got out of dodge very early.....before the second period was over. The building was half empty midway in the 3rd.

That's a pretty dumb comment to make, you're just asking to fire the other team up on all cylinders.

Confidence is good, but he might pay for that.

I like the vote of confidence from Boudreau at the bottom. I know the AHL is a pretty tough league but it isn't even in the same galaxy as the NHL playoffs.

"He hasn't been through this, but he's been through championship series," Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau said. "He's ready."

**** em. Let's go.
