Exactly. I dont think it's any one player in particular, its just that they dont work together. They dont bring the fire out in each other. If we could move one of Richards or Carter this offseason I really wouldnt be opposed to it. Shake things up and maybe bring it a high scoring winger like we've been needing.

Rick, he's right. You're wrong. Lavi needs to go. Think we can we trade Lavi and Carter for Vokoun and a first?

A coach like Lavi usually only works for 3-4 seasons tops before the team turns on him and this team may be doing so after just 2 seasons. They continued their hot play the beginning of season but have been just as bad, frustrating and inconsistent since the allstar break as they ever were under Stevens. They seems to have little to no discipline and they aren't playing the system well at all. Lavi's drill sergeant type approach has apparently worn off. I think if the Flyers are bumped from the playoffs with a lackluster effort I wouldn't be surprised if they sent Lavi packing. How short of a leash do you think they give him? Will he be given until October/November next season to get it turned around if they are sent packing in the first round this year? I think anything less than a SCF appearance should get him canned.
At this point im ready to start holding some of these players accountable. At what point is it not the coach, but the players?

I find a lot of this firing Lavy talk crazy !We came a few points from winning the whole eastern conference because of a bad later part of the season, and now some of you want to fire Lavy, get rid of Ritchie, or Carter etc...This club rode an emotional roller coaster like no other last season, and came a game away from a game 7 for the cup. I am cutting them all a little slack especially Ritchie, who showed some serious meddle and leadership last season when it REALLY mattered, and i expect he will do the same again.
And Lavy is a fine hockey coach, with a great system.....I am hoping to see this club unite together and make a great run, and make us all remember what this club is made of when the going gets tough and the games matter most..

It reminds me of all of those Phillies teams in the Seventies - oodles and oodles of good players but they lacked that critical spark.

That spark is exactly what this team is built with. Pronger, Briere, Richards, Giroux - these are all guys KNOWN for turning it up when it counts the most.

Time will tell now. Time for the players to step up and take control of their destiny.

At this point if you cant play under Stevens or Lavi you have some problems. Both coaches have taken the same core group deep in the playofffs, and both coaches have seen this team fall apart as well. If everyone wants to chastize Richards and Carter you may as well throw Hitch in here as well. I dont know what the issues are, I just dont think its coaching, because Stevens and lavi are 2 different coaches and it seems the players fall apart. Im just hoping this "skid" is a result of clinching early and coasting into the playoffs and they play hard in the post season.

They need to be rid of the GM if anything, the perfect GM for this team is Lukko.
