On Monday, trying to plan out my academic future as a disastrous academic semester comes to a close, my father said to me, "you're making good decisions, you just don't realize it."
I then signed up for a semester with three classes in my major, none before 12:45, and none on Fridays, without paying any attention to what I was doing. Moral of the story being, you never realize just how right your parents are until you get out and experience life for yourself. You can say you know, but you really don't.
As a member of a military family this is a glorious day. All those times my dad and brother were in the middle east helping doing their part because of this *******. Worrying every single freaking day. To all those who have lost loved ones I hope this helps a little bit with closure. I wish I was in D.C. right now.
