B-Sens Ex VP of Operations Tom Mitchell was wandering around Broome

Tom Mitchell's take

4/13/2011 11:30 AM EDT

B-Sens Executive Vice President of Operations Tom Mitchell was wandering around Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena this morning as the team prepared to hit the road for the first game of its first-round Calder Cup playoff series in Manchester tomorrow, and he took some time to talk about the current state of the team.

Mitchell shared his thoughts on making the playoffs, how the affiliation is working and the job Ottawa Senators General Manager Bryan Murray has done finding players to play at both the NHL and AHL levels within the organization.

Too big to copy link below, worth the time to read.

I almost had a heart attack when I read the title.

It will be a good read. He knows just about as much about hockey as anyone, and was actually offered an Assistant GM job with NYR awhile ago, but turned it down.

PS. I am surprised he knows what a blog is.

Glad to see the relations between the 2 clubs are getting better!

It can only help both teams in the long run.

I can state a fact that he is much happier working with Murray than Muckler. Even though him and Mucks are pretty good friends.
