Should the Kings get a NHL-experienced backup goalie?

There are a few NHL-experienced goaltenders still available on the FA market. I'm a bit concerned with the lack of experience in our current tandem.

Sean Burke
Chris Osgood
Brent Johnson
Roman Cechmanek
Trevor Kidd

LaBarbera will be just fine. If the goalies suck, we can always make a trade mid-season or give Hauser a try.

I think our goalie situation is a question mark heading into the season. There just isn't much experience there and that may become a problem. I like Garon a lot and i hope he does well. I just hope he can handle his first full year as a number 1.

Once again we can't wont that would mean giving up Garon or LaBarbera because we'd have to waiver them and both surely to be taken

He's too old! And plus if we got one, then the signing of LaBarbera was for nothing as he'd have to clear waivers, and if he did then we'd have two #1's in Manchester again. Wait until midseason and see how they do.

I've always been a big fan of Mike Dunham - though, he probably wouldn't be an affordable backup goalie in the new NHL salary cap age.

Or, at the risk of bringing back a veteran ex-King to help push Garon, the Kings could do worse than Lord Byron or Felix the Cat...

I went with other, but can someone please change it to reflect "fine" for me.

We are not getting a goalie, so I might as well stick to "fine" It's true, we can always make a trade as the year rolls by if things really go down hill, I must stop fretting about this.

I think our defense is old, not mobile, and injury-prone. Securing that is more of a concern for me. We need some more offense as well. I think frolov has been figured out by most clubs and Cammelleri is over-hyped.

i think we should have gotten an nhl experienced backup goalie, but it's fairly obvious from DT's conversations that it's not goin to happen. so if things go sour, as GM said, we'll prob trade later on.

The market is saturated with quality goalies right now.

You might as well be patient and spend the money on other parts of your team.
