Few observations at the game:
-Backstrom, Semin, Knuble, Neuvirth, Alzner, Carlson were all spectacular.
-OV was ok, but was a bit too disinterested at times.
-Hannan-Schultz scared the **** out of me
-Eliminate the over-reliance on the boards and they should be fine

they did call it a goal on the ice. You can see him point.

I didn't notice anything to different tonight. Did anyone else think the Detriot game had some crazy yellow haze tonight?

Nice game tonight. I also think it's important to not let any of these games slip so they can take advantage of Staal and Girardi possibly getting tired. There are 4 games off surrounding game 4, so the rangers could recharge then and it wouldn't be as beneficial.

I thought Erskine had a good game, but he did start to look a little tired in OT. Pleasantly surprised with how well Green did too (minus the few cross-ups with Erskine).

Yeah ours isn't much better. Entire series will be played with low visibility.

I thought they missed the delay of game in OT I think but other than that they stayed out of the way and only called what they had to. That lets the teams decide it.

I am impressed that the guys stuck to the plan and did not waiver. If not for Lundqvist being himself this game would have been over early.

I like the job the refs did...They let the players play and decide the game for themselves.

Now the linesman are a completely different story. There were multiple offside calls and icing calls that looked questionable.

normally I'd agree. But Neuvy in his first NHL playoff start had an awesome game. The one goal he had 0 chance on and had some very good saves. Lundqvist is obvious and should be on that list. I'm not complaining about Oveys game mind you. We've been waiting on that for a while now. Good to see.

Testament to team defense?

On a side note; if Lundqvist isn't that sharp in every single game and I mean every single game, the series won't last long.

This will be only our third GDT ever that will hit 1000 posts, and half our regulars were at the game.

Yeah dude I always thought MSG looked very dark. But I heard they did that on purpose for some desired effect. I never thought the VC looked that dark. But maybe I'm just used to it now.

Something you often see is that the SD feeds of the local broadcasters are becoming worse and worse, because it's all optimized for HD now and they no longer care how it translates into SD. If you aren't getting a great HD stream, with plenty of allocated bandwidth by your provider, the feeds can be pretty dreadful. All I can say is that the Comcast SportsNet HD feeds of the Verizon Center are phenomenal, if you are lucky enough to get them. Versus also has outstanding HD feeds, provided that you are getting a great feed. A Comcast customer gets full bandwidth for Comcast SportsNet and Versus sports programming. I have heard other providers shunt Comcast programming through a pinhole, though.

What a game.. Was very concerned it was going to be one of those games where we dominate every catagory but the one that counts.. What can you say about Neuvi? The dude's a gamer!! And when we needed em' Ovi and Semin did what they get paid to do!! Arnott is worth his weight in gold, on and off the ice.. Hope it's not such a nailbiter the next time, but as long as we win I'll take em' however we can get em'!! Let's Go Caps!!

I'd politely disagree. He wasn't tested as much as Lundy but man he played very well.

Not only does the dimness suck but the camera positions also seem bad. Not sure if they are too far back or what. Have to wait till game three to remember what buggged me.

Speaking of camerawork, did our boys here in the VC seem off tonight. Had a hard time following the puck at times.
