All I want and expect is a team that's playing 100% for the whole game. If they do that, even if they lose, I will still be happy.

EVERYONE knows the Kings are going to lose this series, and badly - everyone EXCEPT the Kings.

And that is going to be what makes watching this series worthwhile.

LET'S GO KINGS!!!!

Looks like it's hard to be facetious over the internet. My point was if you watch/read the media, this series is already over for the most part. Good thing the Kings don't "know" that, because I think they'll be coming to play.

Terry expecting some fights...

Quote:
(on keeping Westgarth in the lineup…)
MURRAY: “We know it’s going to be a real revved-up series, a real hard series. Everything I read, from the San Jose players talking, it’s going to be a bit of a gong show, with fighting. I’m reading about Clowe’s bloody nose and Ben Eager all over the place and Mayers fighting. So we’re going to gear ourselves up for that kind of a game. We’ll keep Westgarth in the lineup. That’s the way they’re setting it up, so we’re going to be ready to battle.”

The NHL has been trying to find ways to promote more skill & scoring. The Kings have been trying to find ways to prevent goals and play ole grind style hockey.

This will be the battle for the ages!

Westgarth for Hart!

So Murray is basing his Westgarth decision on how the Shark players are talking.

Well that's good Terry.

Moller is awful on the top six, but putting him on the 4th with Poni/Richardson would have been smart. We would roll four lines that could score. Richardson and Moller's speed could give the Sharks' bottom six problems.

Smyth pre-game interview:

http://video.kings.nhl.com/videocent...1069&id=108602

Wow... Smyth's 12th( or 11th?) playoff appearance and he's never had home ice advantage one time.

I hope the game does turn into a gongshow with a lot of fighting. Our best chance of winning games is against a Sharks team that is more focused on fighting and rough play than their scoring game. Our players are more than capable of handling themselves. Murray's comments actually have me even more amped up.

Personally, I'd rather see Peter Harrold in there playing the wing on the 4th line. I think he is a more effective player. That being said, after watching the Ducks last night, I dont' mind having more grit in the line up. That isn't a bad thing but lets not kid ourselves, Westgarth doesn't scare or intimidate anyone. I don't think he has won a fight all season and he is a pretty lousy hockey player. The team is better off with somebody that can actually do SOMETHING besides complex math equations or recite the Magna Carta and give body shots in a hockey fight. Seriously, somebody tell me one other dope in the NHL who actually throws punches to the body. Even Alexander Semin didn't do that when he fought.

Murray's an idiot, nice to see he makes his lineup decisions based on the opponents quotes.

The funniest thing is Westgarth barely even fights. When he does fight they are always the useless stagged fights, those rarely happen in the playoffs.

The sooner you guys stop putting Murray's comments under the microscope, the better.

His plans change 5 minutes in to the game. It's a waste of time scrutinizing them.

I'm sure Johnny Utah is thrilled.

Who can't wait for the Kings to be down a goal with 7 minutes left in the 3rd only to see Westgarth cruising around?

Tried to explain many times that Moller isn't #LAKings Murray favorite. Lineup tonight only further confirms. Surprised if re-up him as RFA
Yay. That's exactly what we need to happen to this team for a third time. First Moulson didn't fit into Murray's system, then Purcell, and even Boyle to a lesser degree. It sucks that we get rid of talent because Murray doesn't think they are gritty enough.

We don't even know exactly how talented Moller is at this level because he can't keep the puck on his stick to be able to make plays to showcase himself. He's also waiver-eligible next season, so we'd probably lose him via waivers anyway if he did happen to be re-signed. He is not ready to play in the NHL.

Moller is a rag doll. He gets pushed around far too easily to be effective, particularly against a team like San Jose.

It hardly has to do with his system. He's just not strong enough right now who knows if he ever will be. I don't blame Murray for sitting him.

Oscar Moller would fit so nicely in Edmonton.. Or any other team lol, Terry Murray's system is anti-small wingers

exactly.. this is not the same situation as Boyle, Purcell and Moulson. All of those guys were older players who were for the most part underachieving. Moller probably never should have started on the Kings roster a few years ago but regardless of how that went down, he physically is not ready for the NHL. I'd be surprised if he thrived somewhere else as early as next season.

... If you can't beat em, beat em up I guess.

It's obvious Murray feels that he's secure in his job no matter what happens in the playoffs, so he has carte blanche to do whatever.
