That was something, Sid really seems to have no visible personality faults. Except when the team is jokin around he seems awkward within it all, hes like that ****ing cool down to earth celeb with and awkward sense of humor.

Couldn't of happen to a better fan. Rock it Kyle.

All the best to him and Crosby can light up the hockey world, but from what I'm reading here, looks like Kyle can light up the entire world.

God bless.

I've seen that kid before. Lives about 20-25 miles from me. Truly a great story

I dare someone to post the following excerpt (verbatim) on the main board:

Quote:
I really think everyone should know what kind of man "Sid" is. He, who has won nearly every imaginable honor and award in the NHL and received a gold medal at the Olympics .... is a shining beacon of light and a true hero to anyone who has ever loved the sport of hockey.

So, from the bottom of my heart: thank you, Sid. If we had more of you in this world, we'd all be better off.

The tirades and Sid hate would be epic. Just sit back and watch the ass-hattery for a good laugh.

Great read, Crosby is indeed one of a kind. Saw him a few times, never talked to him but he does stop and talk to people

It was.
Too bad we cant fit him under the cap next year.
Just picture him and Sid ruling the hockey world by day and rescuing kittens out of trees by night.

That's weird, from everything I hear from opposing fans Sid's a jerk who cries all the time.

Don't believe everything you read I guess.

Give him credit, that was on the way home from a game 7 loss in the rain.

Good on you Sid.
Good call. We were discussing this on the NBA forum (yes, HF has one) some time ago how its a shame at the end of the day there are who knows how many stories just like this that we'll never hear because the media is too focused on something ridiculous.

That said, I hear the Flyers drown puppies before games

My buddy's ex-gf grew up in Cole Harbour and went to school with Sid before he left and said the same. Very polite and smart too (and this was like when Sid was 12 or 13) so this story doesn't entirely surprise me. He's a good human being. Most of us Canadians are though

So glad I read this story.

Also so glad Sid plays for the Pens. I'm not sure there's a better human being on the planet.

You see, now THIS is called consistent logic. My guess is that right after taking this picture Sid went and kicked a blind guy's dog and then took him off the leash to run into traffic.

I refuse to be led by popular media!

That out of the way, this was a class act by Sid but it's no surprise at this point. He's just a good human being and we're lucky to have him as the captain of our favorite team for every reason imaginable.

Well done Sid.
