I've had this belief for a little while now that Zibanejad may become the perfect type of 2nd line center. If he impresses enough and goes to us at 6th, I'd kinda like it.

Can't really tell why but I feel like filling 2nd line center with a player like that might actually be one of the best case scenarios. Been saying since he started emerging in the SEL that running himself right into the top 7-8 is no stretch...if he tears this tournament up, could keep going up. Will be fun to watch Tuesday.

I would use our 6th to pick up Strome or Coutourier
And use the Nashville pick plus our 2 2nd rounders to move up to top 10 to pick up ZIBANEJAD.

Our center depth will look amazing.

Spezza
Strome/Cotourier
Zibenjad
Regin
Da Costa
Smith.

Oscar Klefblom. Expected to go late 1st-early 2nd. Could go higher if he has a strong tourney.

When a riser from Sweden ends up at 9-11 by April I'd say there's a strong chance someone is dying to pick him up at 7-8. What Zibanejad did towards the end of the year in Sweden may qualify as more impressive then what the other guys ahead of him did all year.

Just 17 and he was able to physically impose himself, play center, win draws, score and play smart in a mens league.

And let's say BMac's ranking is accurate: is picking him with the 6th really that much of a stretch?

Let's say the draft goes:

RNH
Larsson
Lando
Hubs
Cooter

There would be Strome and 3 D before Zibanejad at 10...

I know our scouts are said to be high on Strome, and that we tend to go with BPA, but it wouldn't be unheard of to pass those 4 over.

Curious to see how Brodin and Klefbom look, we could use some Swede on the left side of our D.

I'm guessing there isn't but obviously if anyone knows of a feed for todays Canada vs Finland game I would greatly appreciate it.

Would love to see Armia, Granlund and Salomaki in action, I missed pretty much all the Finland games during the WJC.

Looks like Mark Scheifele had himself a good game with two goals. I wouldn't mind Ottawa taking him with that Nashville pick, he would definately be a good 2nd line center with size & skill behind Spezza in a few yrs. He would look good with Landeskog as well.
