Stoll Suspended 1 Game

http://lakingsinsider.com/2011/04/15...pline-hearing/

I'm hoping it's one game, but I think he gets two or more.

Hopefully it's just a fine. Doubt it though.

Probably gonna get two.

Then, again, for like the 50th time this season, Lombardi will have the ball in his court to call up Schenn, and he'll just stick with Moller or some crap.

Him being suspended would really hurt the kings in the faceoff circle.

As soon as I saw the hit I knew he'd get a few games. Who else would get the call if it isn't Schenn?

Elkins? Clune?

I'm trying to think of some way Brayden doesn't get the call up if Stoll gets suspended.

1. One of the main reasons he was said not to be brought up is because they didn't wanna make him feel like he needs to live up to Kopitar. Okay, well, he will just have to live up to Jarrett Stoll now.

2. If not Shenn, then who? All we have left is Moller and Harrold. Moller would never survive a game against the Sharks. He's too fragile and probably would be dead by period two of game two. Schenn also, you know, plays center and has top six skill.

3. Schenn could give the Sharks' defense fits. You saw guys like Richardson, Clifford and Lewis, besides Williams, give the Sharks the most trouble last night. Having someone who is fast and hard nosed can get behind their defense. Schenn could do that AND he has more offensive skill than all three of those guys. I honestly can see Schenn being more dangerous to score than Ryan Smyth.

4. Kings deserve some hope. Not saying that Schenn will save us. He probably won't. He might change nothing. We might be able to win without him and Stoll. Who knows. But the Kings showed last night that this series is a lot closer than people think. Fans and the players quite frankly deserve to have the best chance possible to beat those guys. With Stoll out, there is zero question that Brayden Schenn is the best option going forward.

Best case scenario probably, since I can't see Stoll getting away without any games, is just a one game suspension. Call Schenn up. Play him one time. If he does well, keep him up for when we head to Staples. If he doesn't, no worries, send him back down and have Stoll retake his spot the next game.

Man, you kings fans are great. Other fan bases (who shall remain anonymous) would be crying foul for the hearing. It was obviously a dirty hit. I don't think he intended to do it, but it was dirty nonetheless.

Good game guys.

I would think 1 game because of his clean record, if he were a regular customer I would think 2-4.

I'm dissapointed. Did you ever look at Ian White's face and nose. Him and the league should be thanking Stoll for the facial rearrangement he provided.

If it is just one game, Schenn could come up and play his 9th game then go back to Manchester.

Yeah he looked pretty messed up. Poor guy. His first playoff game EVER after being moved around from team to team. He's a great player too. Dangit.

This just means we're calling up Braun. Watch out for his shot from the point, its a doozie!

I think the league should've looked at the Demers hit on Smyth, it was just as dirty. I guess when the SJ announcers ***** and whine about a hit, they get the league into looking into it.

Unfortunately that's not Bob and Jim's style.

Honestly, if you suspend Stoll, you have to suspend Demers as well.

While dirty, Stoll's hit was obviously unintentional. Demers hit, was dirty and intentional.

The thing is the kings would have know for a while now that Stoll is having a hearing and will most likely get suspended. So either they have already decided to call someone up and not announce it or they may not call anyone up at all.

If Schenn doesn't get called up and Moller is put in, we might as well start the funereal services now.

Murray will hit Moller so hard that he might actually get a delay of game penalty for sending him over the boards.

He should get a game. Not sure if it was intended to be dirty but the result of his hit does matter.

Isn't Moller already a healthy scratch? Why wouldn't they just plug him into the lineup if Stoll is suspended?

Because Moller is going to get killed if he plays in San Jose.

Because Moller will die. And Schenn is five times the better option. And Moller can not play center.

Lombardi/Murray are scared that the spotlight would be too big for Brayden. I don't buy it. I think the kid would relish a chance to have a shot at the NHL playoffs.

Then if LA isn't going to use him in this series, can we have him back please? Just sayin'

I think he should only receive a warning and possible cash fine, he didn't line him up or over extend himself to deliberately try and knee the guy. At most one game for carelessness.

Now, did we send a tape of the Flying Demer's hit on Smyth? I would say the two are comparable.
