The hit looked to be unintentional, but it was still a hit to the head. At the least he will get a fine since he isn't a dirty player. At the most I would guess 1-2 games.

Does it surprise me that Kings fans are reacting to this with knowledge and goggles off? Nope. Thanks for keeping your heads on straight, guys.

For two fan bases who should hate each other, we're really doing it wrong

I can't say that I'm not hoping for just a fine, but it was definitely a dirty hit and I could see 2-4 games.

I'm still not sure he'll get suspended. I do think he gets a fine. Two to four game suspension is excessive for a first time offender who did not intend on hurting White. If you watch how he came in and what he intended on doing, Stoll wanted to pin White against the boards, not drill him in the head. Judging from his comments, Stoll seemed surprised how low White's head was position when he rode behind him.

Would it be farfetch'd for the league to offer Stoll either a game or two suspension or a hefty fine?

His hearing was at 11....its almost an hour and a half later and no news yet. Strange.

I know right? We're a bunch of California hippies

I think it was a heat-of-the-moment type of situation for him. I do think he will get a game or two for it due to the Torres situation.

I agree that it did not look like he was head-hunting. Stoll looked in shock as White slumped. I do feel he had a lot of time to let up as White turned early. As a fan, I want a suspension for the fact I felt he should have been given at least a 5 minute major. It's a tough situation and by no means does 5 minutes equal a playoff game but it's about as fair as I can see the NHL handling it. Plus, if this is the type of play they want to get rid of, they need to make an example sometimes.

Just a technical question.

Is this head hit kinda automatic call or what happens in that hearing.
Do they judge the intension or just the case by facts.

And BTW we shouldn't point on other guys when our one is
in front of the hearing.

Would you stop that please......
we have enough civilized discussion around here.
At least try to rant or troll.
The fanbase which is moving to the 2nd round has to be prepared for Vancouver like fanbases

At some point in this series this "friendly-rivalry" thing will subside..

Probably after the Kings get swept..

Haha, well hey now, I rely on Kings fans to not beat me up when I go down south to watch games. Don't want the internets to get too real!

The fact that they missed that penalty is kind of killing what little faith I have in the game's officiating. Should have been 5 and a game misconduct.

Actually it could come sooner, and I think this Stoll / White situation may be the catalyst:

Anything more than 2 game suspension: cue Kings fan base hate.

Anything less than 1 game suspension: cue Sharks fan base hate.

1-2 game suspension: status quo.

You guys own Anaheim fans in the actually-being-levelheaded-reasonable-fans zone. Big ups.

Indeed. We all know that the players will end up killing each other if allowed. Neither fan base wants this.

One game.

Schenn can play one game without taking a year off his contract.

Bring him up. Play him. If he makes a considerable difference, keep him up. If he doesn't, send him down and we'll have Stoll for the LA games.

Do it, Dean.

Welp, our top center is out a game... Will be interesting to see what will be done about the lines.

This is a pretty significant call by the league.

Bad enough down 1 experienced center, put the Kings down 2 centers for more than a game
you pretty much sign their death certificate.

Given Stoll does not have history of this, it makes it all the harder.
