I did for my 300s, not my 200s. Can't justify spending $240/pair to sit near the goal line in the 3rd to last row of the lower bowl. I'll reconsider my plans for the 300s next summer once they determine how badly to kill us for 2012.

Also, does anyone know of a good computer program to divide up season tickets. If I get several people to take 10 games each, I'd love a fair and equitable way to divide them.

Thanks!

It's up to your partners. Usually you draw a name out of a hat for who picks first, then you all take turns picking a game. you can go 1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 or 1-2-3-4 4-3-2-1. You can split the 40 games 4 ways easily and figure something out for the home opener

Also, I believe the subscriber central site allows for you to divide up the tickets with the people you share them with.

That much I know. I just wondered if there was a computer program that helped the process.

What kind of program would you be looking for that would account for personal preferences? About the only thing that could be done, computer wise, would be to auto assign the games based on winning percentage of the opponent.

Hold the "draft" and get everyone into a room if possible. It's actually a lot of fun if you conduct it over some beers. Feel free to heckle each other. "The March Devil game was on the board! Why would you want to see the Blues in November?"

I thought I remember seeing that. I know that we can easily email the tickets that way, but does the subscriber central hold a draft?

do you want it to go to the games for you too? Just get in a room , (physical or chat) to draft and keep an excel sheet updated.

Good question. I can't seem to find the page that even refers to splitting your seats.

lol

I split one of my pairs every season. I've found that an email chain works fine. Determine the draft order and then the first guy is on the clock. Usually we can get a bunch of games picked each day...and within the week (usually less) all the games are divided. As each game is picked I just enter that person's name next to the game on my excel spreadsheet. Works fine for me.

Reading all of your statements is just sad. Not the statements or yourselves, but the fact you fans can't go and support your team without breaking the bank. Just disgusting. The greed's incredible. You'd think nowadays you'd be used to it...

Wouldn't be surprised if we started to have to pay to watch a Rangers game on TV individually.

I don't understand why you are suprised--this is the way the economic system works in this country.

Yeah, I can see it now...in 2015 every Rangers game will be a PPV event. lol

But seriously, being a season subscriber is not a great value proposition. I only renewed one pair of my seasons for next year (my 300s) and will likely let my 200s go. I mean $240/pair is just nuts to sit by the goal line 23 rows up. Unless you are rich or are using the seats to entertain clients it's really not worth it.

Not that I know of. If you are really taking on partners, best way is to get together and have a draft like others have suggested.

I simply copy and paste the schedule into excel. Get an idea of the games I want to keep, email those who bought from me the previous year. Generally ask them for any specific nights that are good/bad, if they are interested in weekends or not, any dates which are no good (if they know they will be out of town), etc, and how many games they want to buy.

From there, I simply put together some packages. I usually rank games from 1-3 based on popularity. Most popular being the division games, and washington. Next tier being Montreal, Toronto, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and any other East team that is expected to be good, Bottom tier would be the rest. From there, try to mix them up so each person gets a mix of popular and less popular games. Has always worked well for me as I never have a problem getting my extra games sold.

Ok. I am not nuts. The Rangers did use to offer this ticket spliting service. I emailed my rep and she answered the question for me.

Hi Matt,

Unfortunately we no longer offer the ticket drafting service. We provided the service two years ago but didnít have enough subscribers using it.

Kristi

Did anyone get a refund for unplayed playoff games? also why are we being charged for 41 home games when we are only going to have 40?

Stockholm games probably weren't set in stone yet. You'll get a refund for that game at some point.
