Honestly, win or lose, I would be ecstatic if we just went out there with the single goal of taking every frickin shot we get. Shoot from everywhere, never pass up a shot, shoot even from impossible angles... just SHOOT! If you pass up a shot, you get punished (laps, benching... I don't care).
When you shoot you don't know what is going to happen. That's how we have to score, because the other team doesn't know what's going to happen either. Rebounds happen, you get broken plays with people having to adjust, etc. But they know exactly what we're going to do when we try to create stuff... battle in the boards and lose it. Just look at what Kaberle did on that Dubinsky goal a few weeks ago. He was dumbfounded when Cally didn't dump it in along the boards.

We will have about $15 - 20 million in free cap space next season. Get Brad Richards, instant improvement to the team. Let go of Eminger, Gilroy, McCabe, Fedotenko. Sign Boyle and Anisimov cheap ($1-1.5 million), ink Dubinsky to a short term deal no more than $2.5-3 million, ink Callahan to a short term deal no more than $3 million. Than, use whatever cap space you have left to sign a legitimate puck moving defense man. If you have to make a trade to do that, and move another player, than so be it. That HAS to be our game plan during the off season. Anything less than that would be a major failure.
They played OK in the 1st and 3rd(outside the lack of scoring).

Thanks Anisimov and Dubinsky for showing. Staal and Girardi were horrible, but I can't blame, they get far too much ice time. McDonagh was really good I thought, and some of the calls on him were laughable.
I love how Ovechkin can charge and leave his feet for every hit as well. It's cute. I hate that ****ing ***** so much.
I love the strategy whip the it in front. That only works for so long. At the end of the day you need legit skill. You can not have Drury in the lineup it done for him, W2 get him as far away from this team as possible. Get Zucc back in and add John Mitchell and hope for the best.
Listened on the radio, sounds like our entire forward group has gone cold. Oh well, that's a shame. We're a good team when they're clicking. Not so much when they're not.
