They'll win.

They should get to the net a little more, but they proved a lot of things we didn't think they were going to do aside from scoring a goal the other night. They'll come out too desperate to not play well, but if they don't score early I'm afraid they'll start squeezing sticks and over-passing.

Hope to see a different look to the power play, too.

no time to watch today, busy with RL..

but maybe that's a good thing cuz last season every time I watched a playoff game or searched for score updates during the game, the Flyers lost..
but if I waited till after I knew the game had to be over, before checking in they would win

so since they lost the first game that I watched let's see if staying away brings a win

go Flyers

I have my money on a 5-2 win for us this time. Let's chase Miller out of the goal this time.

I want to see Zherdev in the line-up tonight, as I thought he should be have been there in game 1.

Zherdev is has the offensive pedigree to beat Miller, and in a series facing the reigning Vezina winner, as many offensive weapons as possible is a plus.

Not sure who I would sit out of Carcillo and Nodl, probably Nodl to be honest, but he also brings versatility to switch Z out if he isnt playing well enoug defensively.

I highly suspect Z will again be a scratch and If the Flyers lose as a result of to few goal, he will be back in the line-up for game 3.

I liked what I saw in the game 1 as well as the 81st game of the season, it would be nice to see the effort and domination translate into a win or several however.

like score a GWG ? if he does something silly, the other players on the team should be able to hold their own and handle him, never understood the need a goon mentality that this team takes to its heart every year.

I think we win this game.

I'm hoping that it was drilled into their heads to shoot first. Way way too many passes lately. Fire the puck and crash the net.

I have a feeling tonight is going to be a statement game blow out, possibly 5-1 (1 just because Bob is allergic to shutouts).

A possible adjustment to the Sabres' lineup:

http://blogs.buffalonews.com/sabres/

Quote:
PHILADELPHIA -- It's a little too early to be channeling your thoughts of 2006 but the Sabres are getting injury-riddled on defense again and have apparently called up defenseman Dennis Persson from Portland. He would be in line to make his NHL debut today in Game Two against the Flyers.

The Maine Hockey Journal is reporting the callup although the Sabres have yet to confirm it and it's not listed on the AHL website's transaction page. With a 5 p.m. faceoff today in Wells Fargo Center, there was no morning skate so Lindy Ruff will not be meeting with the media until 3 p.m.

Andrej Sekera (upper-body strain) and Shoane Morrisonn are certainly questionable for today, with Morrisonn possible suffering a concussion in Game One. It's unknown if there's another injury on defense necessitating an emergency recall like Persson or if it's simply a case of Morrisonn being unable to go and Sekera being unable to replace him. Morrisonn did not practice yesterday while Sekera did.
Edit: confirmed by team.

Morrisonn must be out and Sekara might not be ready...

or it's just precautionary.

Disagree. It's always good seeing United lose. Even better when the tampon (Rio, because he's in 1 week then out for 3) b*****s after it.

Go Flyers, similar energy to Thursday but crash the net. If they do this could be a blowout. Sabres showed very little offensively in Game 1 to worry us.

Thankfully. Being honest Tocchet was terrible to listen to.

He wasnt a very good colour guy, but I did appreciate the hockey perspective he brought to the broadcast as a former player and head coach. Its one thing to here things from an ex player bring the perspective that clement does, but I liked that Tocchet gave coaching suggestions as well, many of which made sense.

But overall, I agree.

Tocchet had good things to say, he just didn't know how to say them. Had to see it coming.
