dubi not only with the gwg but how he played that way all game like that.
Couple things about this series:
Game 1-nervous timid young team, but they made it to OT and almost thru the first OT and got the first goal of the series, some good things, but not a lot
Game 2-first and third period were played good and physical, couple breakdowns in the second cost them and they couldn't get anything going offensively
Game 3-played their game, couple issues, but they played their game, excellent win rangers!!!!
Game 4-tbd, need the same if not more of an effort on wednesday
POTG - Dubi; just for having the balls to bring it in on a 1-3 and getting a fortunate bounce.
The Good: Dan human wall Girardi, Fedetenko - he's REALLY been stepping it up. Eric C - brilliant wrister.
The Redden: Refs sucked, way too many penalties - we were lucky they were in our favor but that was BS. Prusty got beat twice puck watching.
Fedetenko; sign him up - what luck we had to get him
Girardi - our best dman this series
Drury - Huge on Faceoffs
Henrik - calm and collected; a great positional game
Torts: Hes rewarding those playing well - Fetedenko getting lots of ice, prusty. Good stuff. Good coaching.
Great goal by Dubinsky. Great game by Lundqvist too. They would be the two biggest two stars but Boyle had a tremendous game. The Rangers pwp started picking up when Torts started putting Boyle out there. Brian wound up with 9 shots on goal and 4 hits. His linemates Avery, Prust and Fedotenko were all excellent too. And props to Prospal and Christensen. One other stat--Drury didn't get much ice time but Torts used him on faceoffs a lot and he took 15 of 19 so he contributed a lot with that. Defense were all pretty solid.
They had to win there, the Caps didn't look sharp and the Rangers had a gazillion power plays. For much of this series, nobody has really been bad (besides Gaborik who has been awful), but nobody aside from Lundqvist has been great. Great plays here and there by players, but nobody is playing their best hockey.
Girardi and Staal were awesome tonight, but they had a rough outing friday. Same goes for Dubinsky, but he's my POTG today.
Can't believe they won. How awesome was that game. I wish I was there!
POTG: Dubinsky
Good: Staal, Girardi, Prospal, Boyle, Fedetenko (sick D play - seriously was the 2nd best play of the entire game imo)
Bad: Passing up the middle, WTF
Ugly: Nothing really, solid game imo.

That sure is a lot!
Feds had a huge game, sign him up!
Our young centers Stepan and Anisimov are really struggling in this series. That shows how important getting some playoff experience is, and why barely making the playoffs definitely is worth a worse draft pick even if you don't make much noise.
Drury was so good on faceoffs we should lock him up for like 6+ Million/yr for like......
oh wait
he may not be the gamebreaker we were looking for when we signed him (stupid to think he was) but he has been playing really well lately so whatever gotta live with the contract so might as well see the brightside of it

I know, just teasing. I wrote in my original post that he played well, the whole series pretty much.
