good game today. humongous win. dubi with 25 min and the clutch game winner.

they played with enormous heart and torts had a good game. played his horses and the boys played hard start to finish.

crowd was awesome.

would be nice if gaby could do something. the guy is seriously bumming me out.

i still like our goalie better even if we are the less talented team.

We have to stay in the playoffs as long as possible because i reckon if we can at least get to the Conference Finals Dubi will be sporting something like this

Amazing what happens when a bounce finally goes our way.
They played a full 60 minutes today and not 20 or 40. It's simple, we certainly need a similar effort on wednesday.

The "PP" still kills us though.

POTG Dubi
honorables go to Boyle, Feds, and Hank.
semi honorables to McD, Girardi, Staal, and oddly Drury for his 80+% on faceoffs

Just got back from the game. The Garden was rocking!

Dubi comes through in the clutch once again, just like he did against the Bruins two weeks ago. He really elevates his game during crunch time.

Fedotenko was a MONSTER. Just grinding it out, had a solid game defensively and offensively. Avery was great too, and he looked a lot like the Avery of old. Boyle was good as well, easily his best game of the series.

Staal and Girardi looked great today. Staal's shot that led to the rebound on Prospal's goal was one of the best shots I've seen him take: he elevated the puck as a Cap was sliding down to block a shot and Neuvirth had to fight it off. More of that, please! And not like it even needs to be mentioned, but Lundqvist was a stud as usual.

Now for the bad: Gaborik, Anisimov, Stepan, McCabe, Gilroy. It's getting to the point where Gaborik may be a liability out there - bad penalty that leads to a Caps PP goal. Him and Stepan looked really nervous and indecisive on the PP, I couldn't stop screaming at the two of them to stop playing pattycake with the puck. McCabe is done, by far our worst defenseman. I couldn't wait until AA and Stepan were off the ice. Unfortunate but they look really shaky and are not playing smart hockey right now.

Yup. During the game I had a post lamenting the PP. It's just unacceptable for an NHL team. And it's absolute ******** when people claim it's because a lack of talent. When you watch our PP, you'd think that we were a bunch of ECHL players. We have enough talent to have a respectable PP, without a doubt.

I don't know what game you people were watching, but Prospal had a terrible game. He had atleast four excruciating giveaways. One of the giveaways turned into Gabby's late game tying goal penalty.

One thing I find amazing. When we win a playoff game against the Number One team in the Eastern Conference 2010/2011, the joy and praise is quite modest here on the boards. When we loose - the threads are immediately miles long full of conflict & negativity and everybody flaming the teams, the management, the officiating and each other beyond absurdum (whatever that means).
Every Tom, Dick & Harry comes outta the woodworks to ***** & moan like a flock of bitter feminists stuck on a deserted Island all with major PMS symtoms (no pun intended).
Which of you folks (guys & girls alike) here are real fans - and which of you are little petty Drama Queen whiners? Id seriously like to know that.

Great win today btw!

I cant believe more people arent mentioning Brandon Prust. What a warrior this guy is. He is in everyones face all game long and he creates chance after chance with his speed and forecheck. Absolute keeper.

THIS right here is the reason, I freaking hate the Knicks. I hope they get swept by the freakin' Celtics!! Freaking garbage team..

Seems like a lot people are forgetting Jesus Prust...he did all the things he always does. He did lose Ovi on the first goal, but he did all the little things really well.

How this board switches moods. He has been great on faceoffs, but the guy can't even stickhandle any more. He's horrible.

Is anyone else tired of the "gain center ice, make drop pass" play they do EVERY power play break out?

Seems like McCabe is the one always droppin it but I know this is some play they've devised.

Other than that, this game nearly gave me a heart attack a few times. Thank God we won.

Using the points effectively is a huge problem. The coaching must have something to do with it. It gotta...
Gaborik looked clueless on the 5-on-3 though. My head hurt from watching that garbage.

POTG goes to super stache (Best I have seen since Casey Parenteau) with 2 points, the GWG and by far the most TOI of any ranger player.

Karma said we'd win after the 2nd period's end. Now we need one more win to make this series a best-of-3.
