In re to Caporusso, he was on the pipeline show about a month ago and said he wanted to sign in Ottawa, he saw it as a good opportunity because they were rebuilding. He also had a few good things to say about the org iirc. So as long as the Sens are interested then I dont see why this deal wont get done

listen here, its about a 15 minute interview and i dont remember exactly when the Ottawa stuff comes up
http://www.thepipelineshow.com/media...298955600&sn=6

Also the Silf thing if we dont sign him this year but sign him next its only a two year deal right? Or cause of his late birthday can we sign him to a three, if its a two id rather sign him now and loan him out so we can have that extra year

Also hyped about him being on Czech hockey game roster, only 4 forwards who were on Euro hockey challenge made it and he made it over someone like Lander who was PPG and +7, so for a young guy he must have shown something pretty special heres to him having a huge Czech tourny and possibly making the Worlds :crosses fingers:

caporusso: can become a free agent on august 15th. Lots of risk for him that late though as he'd most likely have to be a training camp invite somewhere and try to earn a contract. Unless he just doesnt want to sign with the sens, dont see why he'd opt for that route, as he's unlikely to get a better bonus structure anywhere else and sens org has as many opportunities as any for him.
Silfverberg almost certainly has an "opt-out" clause in his Brynas contract and I see the reported comments as simple postering--he's never going to have a better chance to walk into the lineup than the upcoming season so I don't see him giving up on that chance.

Caporusso will sign if the Sens want him--as Danishh points out above, his options are limited otherwise.

Blood has been the phone all weekend with his agent and he is leaning towards signing. But I would love to see him in a Sioux sweater 1 more year.

I have a friend who goes to school there and hangs with all the players. When I talked to him today he was with Blood and that is what he told me. He has never told me anything that is not true.

Not surprising....Ottawa's basically trying to get everyone signed and into the system right now. If Blood's had a good year, which it sounds like he has, they probably have no problem bringing him in.

How many contracts can we have signed at one time? Do these signings replace more players that will be moving out?

Blood had a great year. Finished a +33 which led the nation. Most improved player on the team since he came in 3 years ago.

Bought it. And that's 2-0 SPK, +2 and goal.

Had a little miscue at the end of the 1st period where a back hand clear attempt failed and the puck battle that ensued ended up infront of the net...they scored, but the period had ended.

Otherwise these kids can't really play with him.

Hahaha, you need a guy like that to put the fear of god into them a bit on defence; however stick to the balls probably not the most wonderful thing without a reason to do but I think he probably asked for it. Cowen has had some very aggressive moments in this series, he has been very physical and nasty at times.

Cowen and an American sent to the box for after the whistle stuff. Guy gave Cowen a shot and then Cowen dropped him with one hand. Kinda funny...

How does Shinnimin look btw? I've been looking at him as a target in the later rounds. He's small but seems feisty and is very productive.

Well he sometimes has some borderline hits, had a large suspension for a bad hit, other than that, good skill, speed, competitiveness, etc, a possibility for the nhl.

EDIT: Carter Ashton ties the game with about a minute left and the goalkeeper pulled, game tied 2-2.

Why wasn't Cowen on the ice for that?

Not sure but there is a good chance it wouldn't have happened if he was, probably trying to rest him for the final bit, he can't be on there all the time. Spokane does start overtime on the powerplay though, so they could get this one back if they capitalise on it.

Gal just high sticked Shinnimin, Tri City with a power play in overtime, this could be it, James Reid made a fantasic save during this tri city powerplay.

EDIT: Blake Gal makes up for his penalty by scoring in overtime, Spokane takes a 3-2 lead in the series.

not sure whether this is great or not.

as much as i'd like to see cowen in the memorial cup again, i really dont think spokane can beat portland and if i'm right about that, the quicker he gets to bingo the better.

also... next thread time.
