The Bruins have 3 forwards above 200 pounds who are regulars:
Thornton
Lucic
Horton

And 4 defensemen:
Chara
Kaberle
Boychuk
Seidenberg

The Habs have 7 forwards who are 200+ and 10 out of the 11 dmen listed on TSN.ca are 200+.

The Bruins have 4 forwards below 190 pounds. The Habs 5.
The bruins just seem to thrive on physical play. You mentioned thornton, lucic, horton, chara , and those guys (except thornton) are 1st liners and top d-men. You also forgot McQuaid who is out 210 and 6'5 and ference who is small but likes to mix it up. That said i think Julien is effing up. thornton should be sitting (no one on montreal to fight), and seguin should be in his spot.

And Montreal's "dominance" of boston in the playoffs?? Boston is 6-4 in the last 10 playoff meetings... what gives??

The term was coined in the 70's. The reputation was upheld in the 80's and 90's but for some reason it wont go away no matter how much we play like a bunch of *******.

Couldn't agree more actually. I've been saying so on my Bruins board for some time now.

It is because Chara and Lucic are the poster-boys of the team, but there are not many hitters on the forward core.

As of now, Game 3 is more important than Game 4

If the Habs put Boston down 3-0, I don't care how they play in Game 4. I might even watch an NBA playoff game instead (jk). Just don't lose Game 3. Thanks.

This team is asking for trouble if the effort level in Game 3 is anything below what it was the last two games.

How can the game after the next game, ever be more important than the next game?

We can analyze the importance of games to death, but at the end of the day, when it comes to the playoffs, the next game being played is always the most important one.

Every game is important, but you never look ahead to the next game. You have to play the game like it is your last, and the Habs have been doing that and aren't getting ahead of themselves.

I know what you're saying (go up 3-0 rather than make it 3-1 is a different story even though the bruins blew...oh you know)

Also, the fact that there's 2 days between 3 and 4 means momentum could seriously switch if they win the next one. If we win game 3, it will be a deflating tues, wed and they will have to come up with miracle time stuff, so yes, we need a solid home game against them, something that we have done perfectly in recent times. We're gonna need AK to accomplish it I think. His hits and moves are gonna drive the crowd crazy, drive the bruins crazy and force them to do stupid things. Loving our forecheck right now.

The Bruins' mystery flu

The Bruins "flu" bruited about over the internet and in the columns has been identified. In hockey jargon it's referred to as an "upper body injury," and specifically a "lower head injury." We know better. The bug belongs to the CH virus family and the CH in this case doesn't stand for "CHara."

Question.

I've been wearing my white Heritage Classic Gionta jersey for the first two games. Do I switch to a red one for tomorrow and the away luck continues with the Gionta one, or do I continue wearing the white one despite us coming home?

I was feeling the Gionta one.

Tips for Bruins on How to Win the Series

1. Fire Julien and replace with Mike Milbury (Good broadcasters translate in good coaches)
2. Andy Moog as starting goaltender (Thomas and his Vezinas mean squat in the postseason)
3. Jeremy Jacobs sells team to Marc Jacobs (unis need a revamp)
4. Shoot less (because shooting it at Carey's chest is ineffective)
5. Dress Seguin and bench Recchi (more time to pursue his medical degree)

Did I miss anything?

Well for one, hope they bench Recchi, isn't he usually good against the habs? Albeit he has been invisible these playoffs like most of their team... But still... If B's are to make a come back, I see it coming from him and Bergy.

You also missed, ( i swear I saw this) Chara isn't showing up on purpose. Also, Chara should have been able to play (doctor fanbase, what do want? am I right?). And, B's fans that happen to be conspiracy theorists, believe Julien is purposely destroying the B's in the playoffs because he knows he's getting fired anyways.
