They were, but he was also pushing it early in practice firing alot of shots and such, and that set him back. All of this on top of coming back right after the initial injury.

This will be tough. I think they'll be coming out really inspired and we'll be facing an onslaught the first 5-10 minutes. If we come out of that ok, I like our chances. We'll win this 3-2. Giroux, JvR and Brière with our goals.

Ryan Miller (15 saves, 20 shots) was replaced by Martin Biron (1 shot, 1 save) for the third period. The Flyers led 2-0 after one period and 5-4 through two periods. In the third, we stopped playing again. We came out 5-4 and stopped playing. They totally outplayed us in the third. We're not skating, not hitting, not doing anything."
Hey MSE, I love keeping myself up the night before games reading your fantastic GDT's and couldn't help noticing this error. It should read the first time one of the teams was NOT held to two goals or less. Or something to that effect. It's a very odd sentence in any case.

Oh yeah, and LET'S GO FLYERS tonight.

Taking this game and hopefully the next would be huge, and (obviously) the best case scenario for a couple reasons. The most obvious doesn't needed to be stated, but taking these two games would give Pronger a reason to NOT come back this series. I'd much rather not need to have him come back in this series because I don't think he's going to be physically ready to play at all.

If we can come out of the first with a tie or a lead, I think we win this game. You know they'll come out firing on all cylinders. Fend off the brunt of the initial attack and our counter should get it done barring another Miller miracle.

I can accept losing a day's pay. I can accept losing 500 at the tables in Niagara, I can accept losing a tooth in the stands but what I can't accept is losing the game.

We're gonna do what they say can't be done.

Nodl is officially out tonight. No word on his replacement or the starting goalie.

Practice is ongoing and, according to CSN, Pronger "took a wrist shot. Not a lot of power there, but he's skating, shooting and puckhandling." Holmgren also denied a report that Pronger re-broke his hand.

Philly Daily News: "Chris Pronger is skating with his teammates today for the first time since March."

Sergei Bobrovsky has really not taken any shots during today's morning skate. It has been almost entirely Leighton and Boucher. Interesting.
-DnFlyers

Also Gustafsson is skating with the first squad. So is Zherdev, Holmstrom, and Shelly.

Boucher working with the Defensemen. That USUALLY is the starter's job. Leighton on other end. Bob not doing much.

Wasn't it Eskin on Sports Final last night who reported Pronger re-broke his hand? What an ass. Leave the hockey reporting to someone who actually cares.

Sergei Bobrovsky does not have a locker in the Flyers locker room. Tells you all you need to know. He will probably not be in the lineup

They even took the poor kid's locker away?!
