Pp - Wtf?

Pass too much. Puck movement doesn't culminate in open shot. No bodies in front, screening the goalie. If Giroux stick handles into 4 defenders again I'm gonna burst!

Flyers need some old style hockey to beat Miller. Carcillo needs to step it up and crash the goalie, butt end Miller with the stick in the crease or take interference penalty if we take Miller off his game or injure him.

This team REFUSES to dump the puck at the blue line and crash down low. REFUSES. We outsize the Sabres skaters by a pretty fair margin. One would think, this should be a pretty easy matchup for us with the extra man.

Stick handling EVERY SINGLE TIME across the blue line and "hoping" the puck magically finds it's way across onto a teammates stick is just ridiculous to watch.

BASICS, Flyers, BASICS. Dump the puck, 2 forward chase, kick it back to point, shoot, crash net, collect rebound, repeat. They're falling all over each other, they look disorganized and confused. Yet the same 10 or so guys, who've had 80+ games together to figure it out STILL CANNOT.

Yikes!

Watching the pitt-tampa game I wanted to scout their powerplays to see what they were doing and to be honest they dont look any better than ours, if not worse. I think maybe we need to have 2 units that always stick together and get some chemistry going.

I have to say in fairness that most of our powerplays have been very efficient in regards to puck control. We are able to maintain the cycle, and dominate the play in their end. The problem has been the lack of shots getting through to the goalie. Anytime we do decide to shoot it is blocked.

Most of Buffalo's PP chances have a hard time just keeping the puck inside our blue line. They definitely do not dominate the puck the way we do. But the difference is that they grab their chances to put the puck on the net as soon as possible.

Our PP definitely needs a shot in the arm. Attack that net and just throw pucks from all angles. Cycling the puck for a minute straight is not developing the chances it seems.
