I expect Rundblad to be more exciting and hope Cowen is atleast a solid rock on D..

with that said

Rookie: Cowen (I think he will be in the running for Calder)
Returning: Spezza

Yeah, I completely forgot about Alfie. He should definitely be an option.

I reserve the right to make my choice until after we pick the coach. If for some very bad reason it is Hitch, then I wouldn't expect anything from the rookies or anyone that has less than 5 years in the big league.

Rookie: Cowen. I miss the big hits from Volchenkov and Sutton. He's hoping Cowen brings those back, along with solid defensive play, and occasionally chipping in some offense. HM* Rundblad

Returning: Spezza. Hoping he picks up next season where he left off this season, and maybe carries Canada to a world championship before then.

Also, can't wait 'til Alfie gets back on the ice. There just something wierd about him being out of the line-up for so long.

I hope Butler is on the same line as Spezza next year. He and Spezza had some great chemistry and I bet Butlers stats will look pretty nice if he sticks with him. So yeah, go Butler!

Though I do highly anticipate a full year of Craig Anderson

I literally voted for all of them, they can have such a huge role on the team.

Spezza=Want to see if he could maintain his play, if he does, oh man....
Karlsson=Imagine we see the same 50 points Karlsson next year, but stronger....
Regin=Can he get stronger and play top 6 again like he showed in the playoffs?
Foligno=Had spectacular pre-season and could be one of the best 3rd liners.
Anderson=Finished off with remarkable numbers, would be HUGE next year if he continues it.
Butler=Got much better as year went on, if he gets stronger he can be a legit scoring threat.
Condra=At times he showed amazing offensive instincts, with solid defense, can he do both consistently?
Greening=Speed, grit, offensive instincts, size. He can push down Regin does the depth chart
Da Costa=Showed amazing stick work and awareness both ends of rink, can he be legit top 6?
Cowen=Amazing year in Spokane, a true leader with grit and size, can be a huge surprise next year
Rundblad=Arugably best defense man out of NHL, what if the transaction from SEL to NHL is easier than expected

Every one of those guys can impact the team in a HUGE way.

I really can't decide at all, maybe not Foligno as much as the rest but I've seen so much promise and commitment from everyone there that i can't choose.

What a great problem to finally have

HM to Alfredsson and Wick.

lol I expect nothing less. I expect you would narrow it down to one player if we managed to land Larsson.

I just want this to be our new play:

1)Jared Cowen crushes the forward
2)Rundblad grabs the puck and dekes passed the fore check, then crosses the blue line.
3)Spezza on the left side gets the pass from Rundlblad, does a couple circles
4)Butler sneaks in, gets a wicked pass from Spezza, holds the puck and has a little toe-drag into the slot before wristing it over the glove.

Want that happening every night.

Returning:
Zack Smith! Energy, speed, decent hands for a 4th line guy and I LOVED watching him punch Horton in the face. Neil & Smith to fire up SBP all season long.

Rookie:
Silfverberg & Greening (fine I'm cheating). Ottawa hasn't had a big body to crash the crease in....ever? Dying to see if one of these guys can play some power forward for us.

You misunderstood my post, I was speaking of how practically any one of them can come in next year and play a huge role on the team that i can't pick.

I didn't pick them all because that's what i expect from them it's what they have shown or what could become to prove their worth.

Lol, the little jab there was funny but try again

Wii only let me vote on one for some reason.

But, Rundblad, Spezza, Regin and Karlsson top my list closely followed by Greening

I went with Kalrsson but I'm super excited to see De Costa. I was really impressed with him this year and I think if he can find some chemistry with any one of forwards, I think he'll be a Mike Comrie clone, he seems to have the same moves as Comrie and Comrie was great early in his career with Ryan Smyth.

Anderson without a doubt.

As for rookies, Runblad but I temper my expectations for rookies.

I want to see Karlsson win the Norris and Rundblad the Calder.

But in seriousness i would like to see Rundblad in the conversation for it.

I can't vote but I would choose Runblad. I don't think any of our prospects have shown more proof of their ability to produce. Being among the top ten in scorers as a defencemen in the SEL speaks volumes about his potential success in the NHL. I'm just excited to see how quick he can adjust.

I'm also very excited to see how well Greening/Condra perform. I love Cinderella stories, and hope that these two 7th rounders find a permanent spot on the roster.

I think that our first round pick should also be added. I'm very curious to see how this oneunravels. It's been such a long time since we have drafted this early (with the ability to move up). And besides Runblad, and possibly even Cown, I think that this pick has the greatest chance to be an impact player alongside Alfie, Spezz and Karlsson.
