It's loud. Maybe the Rangers fans don't constantly scream at everything that happens because they know the sport? They are intelligent when it comes to the game? No one cares when someone touches up for icing. That's stupid to yell at that.

He is just bitter that his team lost and his job is on the line. If the Capitals lost this series he'd be canned. All he does is whine. Perhaps he is bitter because he is coaching a team that doesn't have one tenth the history of the NYR nor for an arena with one tenth the history. Bottom line is, he is coaching a bandwagon team. When Ovechkin is gone, they'll struggle to sell tickets again. NYR always sell 18,200, even when we had our seven year playoff drought.

It's good to see how he leads by example and focuses on the important things. Hopefully his team is focused on how loud the Garden is on Weds. instead of the business at hand.

Very good point. We may not scream at everything that happens, but I swear, no arena goes crazier for a gutsy shot block than MSG.

Just read the comments, pretty much a cheap shot at the fans if you ask me.

Rangers players and coaches handled themselves well though by just brushing the comments off.

And what I find funny in this whole thing is that he is the coach of a team with the biggest bandwagon fanbase in all of sports, and he takes shots at the Rangers fans? Pretty ironic.

Thats the funniest part for sure. Rangers fans put up with some of the most frustrating management in the league and still passionately support their team live.

Why even bother he won't hear us anyway . On a side note I could totally see Torts saying, "I'm not going to answer that they have a very classy fan base and I can't say a bad word about them" (insert boogaard smirk here).

I fully expect some funny chants for Bruce at the next game. This is the playoffs after all.

Well according to some Caps fans on main boards we have bandwaggon fans too.

Poland Spring or Evian?

What about sticky Gatorade?

Getting Gatorade or Kool Aid on you is no fun because of how sticky and gross it is when it dries.

Well nothing attracts fake fans like mediocrity!!

Edit: Totally forgot to talk about the stupid comments haha. Boudreau is a freaking idiot and hes just asking the fans on Wednesday to jeer him and the Caps all night long. Can't wait to see what the fans at the game come up with.

You are talking about a guy who probably dunks himself into a bathtub full of ice cream, and you think Gatorade will irritate him?

Make his heart palpitate: Throw fruit on him. Vegetables.

Caps fans are kinda like Mets fans. They are extremely passionate, rabid and knowledgeable, but a lot of the sensible ones were turned off by a few years of poor management decisions and bad seasons. The minute they start winning again, the seats are instantly filled.

Normally I'd be upset, but the Rangers have played just as well as the Caps and in no way look like an 8 seed playing the EC's top dog, loaded with superstars and several deadline acquisitions.

And MSG is notorious for getting quiet when the Rangers look like theyre about to let one slip away. Rangers fans are so used to bad luck, that we sit back a little.

That being said, the Garden is always rocking in the postseason. Never once did I think the arena was quiet. Plus, MSG doesnt use fake crowd noise like in Boston, New Jersey and yes, Washington.
No, you are 100% incorrect.
I lived outside DC, I know Caps "fans" inside and out.
You could not be more wrong.

The Caps have the worst "fans" in the NHL, by a mile.
First, they NEVER supported the team when I was growing up, ever.
The notion that Caps "fans" were just holding out over mismanagement is a lie.

The Caps made the playoffs for over 20 years in a row.
They had star players like Bondra/Langway/Kolzig.
They had a very good team in the 80s, a consistent playoff team in the 90s, they made the cup, and then they got Jagr.

Guess what?
It was MSG SOUTH. They NEVER drew, unless they played a New York or Pittsburgh team.

In 2003, the Caps made the playoffs. It was game 6, and they drew 14,000 people.
They had 4,000 empty seats in an elimination game, their owner cried, literally in tears, the next day upset at how little people cared in the area on the sport.

They aren't Mets fans. They don't care. They never did. This is a completely bandwagon fanbase.

Heck, I went to a game in December of 2007 against the Rangers and they had 10,000 people!
This was year three of Ovechkin, they did not care!!!

The only time and way Caps "fans" will get supportive is when they have a contender with a super star, not just a star. They are bandwagon.

In the playoffs, we got to help the team out much like how a fight can boost a teams spirit and moral, a rousing Let's Go Rangers chant out of nowhere can similarly get the blood pumping. Sure sometimes they would just randomly start, but when the team is down or just playing sluggish, it can be an effective wake up call.

Also, just because all the Caps fans are talking instead of watching the game doesn't mean being louder is better
