Good:
Grier's physicality has finally come out of hibrination
Gerbe is always good, always brings it
Stafford showed up
Gragnani

Bad:
Pominville and his stupid shots from the point on 5 on 3's
Vanek - WTF? (W stands for Where)
Kaleta out again
Connolly now 26 playoff games w/out a goal
More dumb penalties (Myers, Weber)

Ugly:
Too many awful giveaways by defenseman in the zone, something that has absolutely killed Buffalo all year and is still killing them, come on d.
Philly and their Busch league tactics

There was no softie tonight.

Goal #1 went off Weber's stick.

Goals 2 and 3 he was left completely high and dry.

This game is entirely on our defense and a MAJOR brain cramp by Lindy on that 5 on 3.

That being said, full credit to Philly for playing a really, really good playoff road game.

QFT. Pominville, Connolly, Ennis, and even Vanek... they don't look like they're ready to give everything they have to win right now.

Ugly
- The PP. 5-3, the 4 minute PP you need to score on 1 of the 2
My thoughts exactly. Add all the turnovers to the ugly...and losing two games in a row.
Anyone else notice that under 'good' all these players' last names start with a 'G'? I think I'm getting superstitious...

Practically a mirror image. History repeating itself.

Take note, Terry...

Ugly

Cody McCormick on the game winner, turns it over twice along the boards. Then watches the play, before half heartedly coasting towards the net.

what else do you want out of him?

5/5 philadelphia is going wear buffalo down with forechecking

buffalo is only generating true offensive zone time through the power play

I don't think anyone else has noted it yet, but they were completely unprepared in the first 5 minutes of the 1st and 2nd periods. And it cost them two goals.

plenty of blame to go around tonight. Agree on the 5-3 unit. that was atrocious. How about .. who has no goals in his last 25(playoff-- good catch jlr- now 26) games??

sounded good on tv, this is the 1st home playoff game I missed since 99. Not sure how much more some people expect from the fans in the building.

if by skill- you 'skill' or player sloted in a 'skill' position, because I really havent seen a lot of 'skill' so far this series..

This game was there for the taking. Philly did a nice job of holding on.

that would be the fans fault for not willing them to victory (not directed at any one in particular)

I'm really questioning why we have Pominville on the team, especially at 5 million dollars. I also did not seen Ennis be very effective this game. I hope he gets much better at playoff hockey.

But that will change the chemistry of the forward lines....

Seriously, he's not going to be in game condition whenever he comes back. You could see it with Sekera 2 nights ago and Leo tonight. Just a little slower reaction time, etc.. Roy can compensate if anyone can but I'm not going to expect any miracles (but I'll take any the Big Guy decides to give us)

Did the Sabres bail him out of several horrible goals he let in by scoring many themselves? No. It was one to nothing. He stole it. Only a troll would disagree.

Yes, what we need is celebrated playoff performer Derek Roy.

That will surely turn the momentum of the series.

I was thinking back to game one...How much more desperation Philly showed when they went down one compared to Buffalo. It was very frustrating to watch. I said I would support this team if they lost this series in a hard fought battle, but their shelling up just like last year. If it's the same results as last years playoffs...time for change.

Tired of disappointment.

i still say a 35 save 1-0 shutout even if the shots weren't screamers is stealing a game

unless you want him to have a 1-0 shut out kicking out the pad on zherdevs tap in goal only it doesnt go in and is a save? is that what youre looking for?

I'm sick of Montador. Every d-man who plays with him faces a 2-on-1 atleast once a game. Noticed atleast 3 turnovers today from the own end resulting from a bad break-out pass. Pressure from forecheck = turnover.
