I honestly think Regin will have a big year next year, and will solidify his position as a top 6 forward..

Regin - Spezza - Butler

Should be our first line (If we sign no top 6 UFAs)....

Regin is very comparable to Vermette IMO... The two key differences are that Regin gets knocked around more than Vermette.. but Regin also has much better hockey sense (offensive/playmaking wise)..

I hope to GOD Spezza has a healthy season next year.. You would think they could make some kind of customized back brace to help him out or something..

Another person who doesn't hate Regin and rip on him after his crappy season? High five.

I see the new coach trying that out this next season, but unless we draft or sign a centre, we'll probably see him centering line 2 or 3. He's our second best centre now, believe it or not, lol.

Clouston was harsh on Regin. He never gave him enough chances on the top line or put him there long enough for chemistry.

I am personally excited for the year all around. Really excited about Rundblad and whoever we draft. But really excited to see how this team does with a full year. I cannot wait!

Hpoefully, we get a great coach.

Excited for three things in paticular

1. Nick Foligno/Rundblad- Both players can disappoint or really excel next year

2. Mark Stone in the WHL- Very excited to see if this season was a one-off or if we have a very legitimate prospect here

3. The Prospect class of 2011- Realistically 10 new prospects playing in various orgs, our prospects thread will be changing frequently

ARRRGHH!

I cheated.

Returning vet : Spezza/Karlsson - > Simply could not choose. Essentially it comes down to Spezza being healthy or not. I wanted to vote Spezza but am too afraid of the injury bug. Karlsson is a close second, i'm very excited to see what he brings next season.

Rookie : Cowen - > We have not had a beast of these proportions since Sutton, whom I wanted to keep. This guy will hopefully be the anchor of our defense for 10 years, I can't wait to see him get started.

I gotta say that after watching his interview on Team 1200 yesterday...I'm pretty excited to see what kind of year Calling Greening is going to have.

Discuss.

Returning:
Karlsson. He gets so much hate from other teams because of his -30. I just want him to dominate like he's shown he can. I'm expecting big things from him and he's surpassed my expectations every time.

HM: Spezza. If he can keep up his absolutely brilliant play, he should also prove a lot of haters wrong. I hope he can start a push to play in 2014.

Rookie:
Rundblad. I think puck moving, skill defensemen are key cogs for a team. Between Karlsson and Rundblad, I think opposing teams will be stretched so thin that the two will combine for a lot of offense. Rundblad might have put up the most impressive season outside of the NHL of any prospest we've had (maybe Spezza).

HM: Cowen. Exactly what the doctor ordered for this team. He might make the biggest difference on our team next year relative to last year of any new player.

Crap.. should have read OP first, chose 2 and a half rookies and 1 and a half vets.

Cowen/Runblad, and Anderson/Greening.

HM to Regin, I would like to see how he bounces back from the sophomore slump.

BB...

I mean, looking at his stats and pace for this season, he was on pace for 44 points I believe?

So, going by that, I reckon he could be a good 40+ point player

Greening had same pace. Condra was also on pace for 20 goals.

Vet = Anderson. So much hinges on his performance. If we are pushing for a play-off spot or if we are in the lottery again. We all saw what good goaltending can do as well as bad goaltending (Elliott).

Rookie = Rundbland. Let's see what all the hype is about. I know I am super excited.

I was fiending Senators hockey today and I ended up watching the Ottawa Vs. Tampa Bay game from a while back on CBC.ca.

I've got to change my answer to Karlsson. That kid is dynamite.

Spezza- Started the past 2 seasons slowly but once he came back from injuries who was putting up ridiculous numbers.

Rundblad- Want to see how his game transitions over in NA
