Eskin doesn't have great sources with the flyers in regards to breaking stories. He has old relationships that will get him the first interview with new players in town and stuff like that but he isn't breaking stories.

In a perfect world Pronger sits for Game 4, the Flyers win, Pronger sits for Game 5, the Flyers win, and every other series goes the distance.

In a normal Flyers world things would go like that:
Series goes to 7, Pronger is rushed back, Pronger reinjures his hand and is out for the season. Flyers somehow advance to finals despite playing without Pronger but lose to Canucks in the end. Flyers fans spend the next 12months speculating on how we would have won the cup if Pronger was healthy and could have played.
At least people have a reason to stop recalling the goal MFL gave up last year and that cost them the cup
Pronger will be back for game 6. I have no doubt. He will play one handed if he needs too
