LOL @ saying Staples will be quiet, that place gets loud in the regular season, how can you say it wont be loud as all hell in the post-season?
The boys can get a huge win tonight and hopefully Thursday and prove that this team is for real, and not reliant on 1 player. Go Kings Go! Wish I could be there, would definitely be going if I still lived out there.
rofl - so much for the mutual lovefest between the two fan bases
There is literally nothing I hate more in the world than the Sharks...and it's been that way for 10+ years now. I turn into a real life troll with my friends during the summer cause the Sharks will yet again have choked and I can just rub it in for hours and it is oh so glorious.
The first home game is the loudest. No one has lost their voice yet.
I'm not sure why he'd say that. He's obviously never been to Staples for a playoff game before.
Oh well.. he'll be in for a surprise tonight.
Staples is an odd building. It's generally quieter than most, but there's a certain decibel level that once fans hit it, the place becomes deafening. Part of the design of it more than anything. In any case, anyone who went to home game 1 last year knows how loud it can get.

I'd kill a small animal for the Kings to win their home games. Keep that home ice advantage!
Tony, Tony, Tony. If your gonna go, Go BIG! KILL A SHARK

But we are not waterfowl.

That means we have to be LOUD, and I mean LOUD
Just clapping, shouting woo hoo and standing when the KINGS score won't cut it. Anyone who has a voice left after the game will be deemed to have not done their job.
Remember, We don't dress our mascot in lime green spandex and there's a reason for that. We don't wear Teal. And our star center doesn't have a congenital massively restrictive breathing problem in big games.
Our team is the KINGS and WE ARE KING FANS.
We wear BLACK and PURPLE, colors of Death and Royalty.
Their building is LOUD
We will be LOUDER.
I want their children to have earaches from just listening to the game on TV.
I want our make boys to make their eyes bleed as they watch us win. '
I want it so loud and raucous that Mark Purdy's gonna wish he was at a Kenny G concert. Hell, I'll even buy him the tickets!
When I enter STAPLES tonight, I expect that I will need to shout just to have Jr hear me in the next seat over.
IF YOU AREN'T LOUD GIVE YOUR TICKET TO SOMEONE WHO IS.
TAUNT THOSE GUPPY LOVERS. (No need to be physical though, they are way too fragile already).
AND SHOUT . . . AT THE TOPS OF YOUR LUNGS. (thats the human equivalent of gills to you Guppy fans)
This is no love fest, this is KINGS PLAYOFF HOCKEY
Go KINGS GO!!!!

My kid has been going to games since she was about 4 months old without hearing protection. The only time she was bothered by the noise was the Royal Rebound over the last 3 years.
I didn't take her to playoff games last year. She is now 2 months shy of being 4. I bought her some ear protection for tonight and she has been practicing waiving her towel all week.
Nervous about this game. The sharks will no doubt come out very strong. Even though the kings had a decent home record they seemed to play poorly at the end of the season aat home. Anyways I'm hoping the boys come out ready and put on a show for the home fans.

started your day off with about 6 five hour energy drinks eh??
Man, I'm pumped for tonight. I have SOOOO much work to do today, and I have a feeling it's not going to be a productive day at all. Oh well.
Kings won game 2 through special teams and sticking with their system. If they can keep that up, the Sharks will have a very tough time, particularly because they seemed to get frustrated last time. That led them to try to force the play a lot, and the Kings just totally shut it down.
Is tonight the night that Penner and/or Simmonds get on the board?
If the Kings win this series, I will tattoo the Kings logo on me. I absolutely ****ing HATE the Sharks and want to see them lose and their fans to suffer even more. Seeing Sharks fans sad because their team choked brings me so much joy. GO KINGS GO!
Could anything make the Sharks and their fans more defeated than getting knocked out of the first round by the Kings this year? I pray that some how the Kings manage to make that happen because it sure would make me happy.
I can't believe how amped I am. The boss was wondering why im so energetic. He has been to a couple regular season games with me....so I showed him some videos of game 3 against the Canucks so he could see what the atmosphere was like.
He thought it was pretty cool, and it just amped me up even more.
