Really Les Canadiens sont la is perfect. Melodic, easy to remember, etc.
Does the Bell Centre even have an organist anymore to play that? Ole, ole and Vertigo after goals are so utterly generic. This is Montreal, for god's sake. This is a unique culture and the best freaking band on the planet are from Montreal, play les Canadiens sont la and have Arcade Fire record a song for goals. That would be really cool (and they ARE Habs fans).
As long as it isn't an embarrassment like the Kraft official Olympic chant I don't care. That was just the biggest publicity stunt/joke ever. A contest to see who designs the chant nobody is going to use cause it's fail.
It was like "CA - NA CLAP CLAP DA, GO, CLAP CLAP CANADA GO!" or something retarded like that.
Ugh, no thanks on the chants unless they're short and simple. Long, drawn-out sing-a-longs might be fun for some, but I'd just as soon mute the TV and not go to live games if it became a regular thing. I appreciate the roar of the crowd when a goal is scored. I don't want to hear them going from one kind of screaming to another.
