I hope they're not black, if they are the towels are going to be invisible.

Yes. They were white. I remember they had the black light going, so they all looked purple. Very cool.

White towels last year, im sure they'll do the black light thing again. This is a shot from our seats in the PR section last year during game 3, it absolutely amazing. Wont be making it this year but hopefully we have the same result tonight as we did in our last game 3

I'm so enviously of all you going to the game... If anyone of you want to be a good Samaritan and invite me to join you for game 4 on Thursday, I'll be more than happy to accept the invitation!

Like others have said... black lighting is used for effects during the pre-game. They want everyone wearing black so only the towels will "glow".

It's a super cool effect that translates well on TV and live - still cameras have a harder time capturing the effect.

Here's a good vid example:

EDIT: what lak4ever posted

in San Diego

anybody know if they'll show the game on VS in San Diego? Not sure where the broadcasting rights for the Kings end, and I do not get Prime Ticket on Cox Cable.

i don't think i'd get westy. not because i don't like him or disagree with his utility, cause i'm not really in either camp there. but i'd say he's the most likely to be moved in the near future, though simmonds might be a close second there.

I have been waiting all year for them to get the new players in and Westgarth, Martinez and Schenn are finally in. No Clifford.

I'm not sure why he'd say that. He's obviously never been to Staples for a playoff game before.

Oh well.. he'll be in for a surprise tonight.

Staples is an odd building. It's generally quieter than most, but there's a certain decibel level that once fans hit it, the place becomes deafening. Part of the design of it more than anything. In any case, anyone who went to home game 1 last year knows how loud it can get.
Let's make this night especially loud for that clown. WOOT! I love LA! GO KINGS!

Sometime midseason I had a dream that I could only remember vaguely after waking up, though I knew I was watching the Kings play at Staples and taunting Niemi so loud my ears echoed when I woke up.

Come on Kings, make a girls dreams come true. I promise if you bring your solid game and give us a decent lead, I will scream NIEEEMMMMMIIIII so loud that you will hear me from up top. Deal?

Can't wait for the game, feeling good about it, GO KINGS GO!

JUtah, too bad no Clifford, yet. Then you've got to go Westgarth.... that almost guarantees he'll score and really screw with peoples heads!!

GO KINGS GO -

One by one - one play, one shift, one period, one at a time!

So I do the "duh duh duh duh duh: duh duh duh duhduh: duh duh duh duhduh: duhduhduh: SAN JOSE SUCKS!" chant during play, all of it, by myself (the organist only does it between whistles). (BTW - the Adam's family version of that chant sucks and I think we should boycott it-- keep it old school like from the Forum days, since that's one of the last vestiges of the former forum glory... anyways...)

I expect everyone to pitch in with it tonight. When you hear me do it, join in, and not just the SAN JOSE SUCKS part. Imagine how cool it would be to get a bunch of the stadium do the "duh duh duh" and then all yelling SAN JOSE SUCKS! in the middle of the play.

Those in sections 314-316 know what I'm talking about.

Carry it on, pass it on. BRING THE NOISE!!!!!
