The true question is now:

Who is more hated?

2009/2010 Randy Jones or 2010/2011 Dustin Penner?

You know how the Kings like to replay the Stunner at Staples and the Miracle on Manchester?

Well this is the Sharks' version of that. Prepare to see in highlight films for the rest of your life.

People are hating on Orenji, but he's speaking the truth. I guess that's a foreign language to everyone here since we're all spoiled with guys like Rich Hammond, Bob & Jim. Three guys who do excellent work covering the Kings but aren't realistic or don't know when to stop being so generous and nice. Honestly, it is sometimes refreshing to read Matt Barry or Helene just because they give you a shot of reality, same with Ray Ferrarro, he's done an excellent job covering this series, kudos to him.

As for everyone here hating on Orenji, you can all go get a reality check

I'll save my Goaltending analysis here for the offseason, since it will just pour the salt on the wounds tonight.

I do disagree with starting Bernier, I think Quick needs to start the rest of the playoffs. Kings need to evaluate him in these type of situations. Kings need to be sure whether or not Quick is the answer for this franchise in net.

I get reminded of the 93' Cup final when I am in Montreal, happens quite often. It comes with the territory of being a Kings fan.

Who knows on Roenick, that one still baffles me, but Carter I believe was hurt and was just a rental, Cloutier was also hurt and I don't think DL's crew did the homework on that injury before doing the trade, Nagy was going downhill before he got here and still had 26 points in 38 games,so not terrible, and Penner is, well, Penner. I said he was a floater when we got him and he's done worse than I thought he would.

That said, Smyth has done fairly well here for the most part, Robitaille came back and di well and so have other guys. It's not like they all suck.

id agree with this. You can't gauge anything yet. He's been solid so far, left with no chance on all 9 goals in the series, but also not really come up with any huge game changing saves. The 1 on Murray in the 3rd period today being the closest to that. I think Bernier in net would have had pretty much identical numbers, with the no chance goals going in, and every other shot i nthe series being fairly straightforward

A series is more than one game.

That said, this game has two goats and the first one is clearly dumb****Penner.
From the retaliation penalty to his abolsute ****** lack of foot spped and back checking, I cant think of any reason this guy should have seen the ice in overtime.
Im old, fat and 15 years of out of good game shape and I promise you that a foot race down the ice between me and dumb**** would be very close, far to close for for any guy playing in the NHL.

Which leads me to the next goat. Why O'f-in gawds of hockey did TM not call a timeout after the third goal by the sharks. We got lucky because Stoll came right back down and threaded a beauty to Smyth. OK fine but for F's sake one more time, NO TIME OUT AFTER GOAL FOUR. What the hell was he saving it for. Then, after seeing Penner has very little left in the tank, to put him out in OT and see him not be able to get back. What kind of coaching is that?

Crappy coaching, thats what it is.

THATS IT. I'm sorry. Neither one of them is worth the ******* cloth the are dressed in.

I've seen some depressing Kings losses over the years, long long years, but this takes the cake in terms of a single game. This one will get a name, and i dont care if I ever hear it. It was pathetic, it was sad, I am stunned and befuddled and I'd be surprised if TM wasnt feeling even more'so.

The seventh man did their job, the coach and Penner forgot to do their's.

I'm all in for hiring Tippett when he decides not to move with the desert dogs to the flat lands of Manitoba. I've seen enough of TM for a lifetime or more.

lmaooo i'm not being white knight, all i'm saying is that people need a reality check. This Kings team should be up 3-0, if Richardson had scored that gimmy in OT in game 1 and if this team didn't blow a ****ing 4-0 lead tonight, we would be sitting pretty.

Penner. He has the talent just doesn't care.

At least Jones tried. Sure, he was terrible and made more mistakes that led directly to goals against but it wasn't his fault he was out there when he shouldn't have been.

In Jones defence as well, as terrible as he was, he was also paired with Johnson, and they had to defend against the Sedins in that series. All Penner had to do was cover Setoguchi

It was one poster. I'm sure it has to do with more of the Kings losing than what the Orenji said.
