If Rangers can win over Capitals over 7 games they can go all the way. I rank them (Capitals) as the best team in the NHL right now. Maybe together with Vancouver and Detroit. I dont expect Rangers to go through but it will be a great bonus if they do. I still think Rangers have a better goalie than Capitals so its about time someone amongst the forwards stepping up and score som important goals. Loosing today will makes things almost impossible.

Our schedule just had to skip 3 days now, phenomenal. Boulder is going to be out of control today, I might have to tape this.

I think the Rangers destroy the Caps today. They have momentum, and guys like Ovechkin, Backstrom and Semin have trouble rebounding. I hope the Garden makes Boudreau cry.

This web-site put together video of all the hits Mike Green has taken in the first 3 games. I honestly don't think he was hit hard enough.

Are the Rangers Head-Hunting Green?

The Rangers have to get more shots and put more pressure on the Cap's rookie goaltender, this is the key to winning this series imo.

BTW,Hank is the only starting goalie in this years playoffs who hasn't given up more than 2 goals in any game !!

Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves here...one game doesn't make the series for either team, if the Rangers win tonight all they've accomplished is that they've held serve on home ice.

Does this team have the marbles/stones/cajones/berries/balls/testicular fortitude that Torts claims they have?

Tonight will answer that question.

Not to be a jerk, but this is not a good video - This is the same MSG/Knicks crap that they have been spoon-feeding since the Carmelo add. It doesn't 'get me up' - its formulaic MSG trash.

But we can agree on one thing - bring on Game 4

It was alright. They did the "I am a Ranger" intro they play before every game followed by the MSG intro. Then Joe Tolleson goes welcome to Madison Square Garden for the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs which was followed by another montage accompanied by Emile Francis saying different things but it was tough to hear in the arena. Tolleson gets back on right after saying today Madison Square Garden proudly presents game 3 of the ECQF featuring the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers. Another montage followed and the Rangers took the ice. It was solid but there has been better. The song they took the ice too with the crowd being electric waving the towels was pretty sick though.

Haven't been able to find it on YouTube yet though.

Koharski is perhaps best known for an incident that occurred following a 1988 playoff game between the Boston Bruins and the New Jersey Devils. New Jersey coach Jim Schoenfeld was infuriated with Koharski’s performance and waited for him in the hallway near the officials’ dressing room. Koharski fell, but believed Schoenfeld had pushed him. Koharski yelled several times after Schoenfeld "You're done", implying that he would be suspended over the incident, and said he hoped the incident was on tape. Schoenfeld responded by yelling in Koharski's direction, "Good, because you fell, you fat pig! Have another doughnut! Have another doughnut!" (A videotape of this incident recorded by WABC has become part of sports television lore ever since, usually when discussing coaches losing their tempers.)

The NHL responded by suspending Schoenfeld, but the Devils took legal action and were granted a court order staying the suspension. The National Hockey League Officials' Association stood with Koharski; its members said they would not take the ice in the next game between the Devils and the Bruins if Schoenfeld was allowed to coach. This resulted in the NHL being forced to use low-level replacement officials for the game, with the two linesmen wearing Devils-coloured Cooperall long pants (at the time, green pants with red-and-white stripes), along with white helmets and yellow practice jerseys over their street clothes.
