Want passion? Go to the Bell Centre

http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/m...ontreal-041811

A great article about the passion at the Bell Centre.

Here's a snippet..

"I can tell you this: I’ve covered the Super Bowl. I’ve covered five World Series. I’ve covered football games at Michigan Stadium that drew more than 110,000 fans. But I’m not sure I’ve ever heard passion from a crowd like I did on Monday night."

"There is noise, and then there is cling-on-every-pass, wail-from-the-depths-of-your-soul bedlam. That’s the sound of the Bell Centre."

Nice article, not really surprised, people that have never experienced a playoff game here have no idea what it's all about.

Montreal is the best hockey city in the world!

Can't wait for Game 4! I'll be in the Molson Ex section

I swear that I'll lose my voice and cheer for the habs the whole game, whether we are losing or winning! My first playoff game (ever) and second game I've seen this year @ Bell Center... First game was against Boston and the 4-1 victory in March (Pax hit)... GO HABS GO!

Going to Game 4 as well...Can't wait!

I was so used to the Bell Centre that I thought the way things were was not a big deal. Then I went to see a game at MSG...The big 6-3 loss to the Rags. What a small, dark arena. Aside from a single USA USA chant (after Moen and Prust fought...lol) it was dead in there, even though the Rags scored 5 goals in the first period.

I told my friend from NYC that it was shockingly quiet in there, and he said "are you kidding? This is the loudest I've seen it in a long time!". I guess it's all relative.

I've been many times to Bell Centre during playoffs and Monday was loud but not the loudest yet. Last year was louder when we won against Capitals game #6 or when Kovalev scored OT winner in 2008 against Bruins 3-2 Game 2.

Funny thing is the Habs were up 2-0 back in 2008 then lost game 3 at Boston then won game 4 but then lost game 5-6 and managed to win game 7 in Montreal. Hopefully we crush Big Bad Bruins before that this year.

And i am going Thursday with my little sister and it will be her first time at Centre Bell and one to remember i hope. Can't wait.

Go habs Go!

The Kovy OT goal in 2008 was THE loudest sound I've ever heard at the BC in my life. I was at that game and when he scored, I swear, I could taste blood from my eardrums popping.

Tip to OP, never start a habs thread in any other boards than this one. It never ends well.

Seriously, the Habs hate on these boards is quite pathetic. But then again you really think I will listen to what someone in Nashville or Columbus have to say?

Hey I don't really care what they think anyway. I just care what people in the know think, and this guy who wrote the article knows. I just wanted to make sure the truth was heard, even if the unwashed masses didn't want to hear it.

Monday was my first ever playoff game, thankful that I got to experience it at the Bell Centre. Amazing atmosphere, as expected. Got goosebumps when Béliveau came out with the torch. Another very special moment was the rally at a commercial break in the third period. My ears were ringing after the game!

I've only ever been to regular season games at the Bell Centre(12 or so throughout the years).

But I've never been to a playoff game

Living in Toronto I've been to the ACC a bunch of times (in the regular season) and it's a joke

Yep, having a Habs thread on the main board is just a place for the 29 fanbases to bash us. There's no thread about the Habs fans on the main board that has no mention of booing anthem, riot, callin 911, singing soccer chant etc after the 1st page.

CFL, and used to have MLB as well. We have a soccer team, if you count that.

It would be even more crazy if the tickets were cheaper and the 'common man' could get in there.

I often wondered what it would be like if you could put 21 000 of the loudest of the loud Habs lunatics in there

I saw Game 2 at The Forum in '93 against the LA Kings... the one where McSorely had the illegal stick and Demers pulled Roy for a desperate 6 on 4 with a minute left.

When Desjardin tied the game, let me tell yoiu the freakin' roof BLEW right off the building!!!

Great memories...

Now go and get Game 4, boys

Tickets are cheap and available for everyone and at least we're not put in cages like the old days
