How do we fix the powerplay? is it possible? not just for the rest of this series, I've given up on that, but for next season. Is it not just our play but also our powerplay's reputation? do you think other teams just don't fear it and get that feeling that they can kill it no matter what?
I wouldn't be surprised if Sullivan is done after this game, or at least if someone else is brought in. This was an embarrassment. 0 for 7. That's disgusting. You can't win a playoff series if you can't score on the ****ing powerplay.
I'm ashamed of it, really. Weakest powerplay in the league.
And now we will get to hear in the offseason people saying we don't need Richards. Stay the course. What ****ing course is that, again? We need Richards. End of story.
exactly and we will hear trade Gaborik. Listen whether we like it or not he's the best they have. That was terrible but he's not going anywhere.
I am avoiding Saturdays game as much as possible after that ****
Face it.....the Rangers can't even get into the zone on the PP. How can such a problem go on all season and NEVER be addressed? And then there is Gaborik........what a moron. He flushed the almost 6 periods of effort down the tubes with one utterly stupid move.
Can't blame Gaborik. He was just trying to make a play. Blame the PP, giving up a 3-0 lead, the ****ing ref who picked off Dubi when it would have been a 2 on 0.
Exactly. So many ****** things about this game, you can't put it all on Gaborik, as frustrating as he usually is.
Not only are the players on this team untalented, but they are pretty darn stupid as well. It will never end.
At least the Afinogenov OT winner was on the PP. But this was in 2OT and the goal was a result of one of the biggest brainfarts I have seen in some time. It's always embarrassing to be a Rangers fan.
Why? Not because of the Caps they have the so much skill yet still can be easily beat. The Rangers are just awful its painful, i mean they have some good young guys like Sauer, Stepan and some older vets who step up but all in all no skill, Gaborik not good enough injuries or not that cant be the issue this time of the year. Than you have to much **** like Christ, W2, Prospal that are supposed to be top 6 producers in a sense but are not nearly good enough. Its not the the checkers like Prust, Boyle or Avery, it the fact we desperately lack skill up front and that is why we cant take advantage of a PP, no skill. You cannot have guys that have a puck like a hot patatoe and expect to capitalize on PPs it not possible.
You think so? We were 0-5 when we had a 3-0 lead. I don't think the pp is the thing that did us in..
Obviously defensive lapses did us in, but you're not going to win games against good teams with those types of efforts on the PP. It killed us tonight like it has all series.
And now we will get to hear in the offseason people saying we don't need Richards. Stay the course. What ****ing course is that, again? We need Richards. End of story.
After seeing that replay of the 3rd Caps goal again, I'm pretty sure it did go off the stick. It was tough to tell because the shot was so hard but it looked like it deflected somewhere between his hands.
This game should of never went to overtime... How the hell do you lose the game with a 3 goal lead going into the 3rd period
They lost Game 1 with a lead in the 3rd also, right? Undefeated in the regular season with a lead going into the 3rd, and now they lose 2 out of the first 3 playoff games by blowing 3rd period leads. Successful playoff teams don't do that ****.
This game never should have sniffed OT. The powerplay is an absolute embarrassment.
You mean you didn't enjoy watching McCabe skate the puck to center ice and dump it in and have the Wash. defender immediately clear it? It happened 26 times.
The Rangers should read this quote......
"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
