I never doubted Davey and his impact upon return, but I never thought he would have the best game of his career last night!!! I'll say it again, team can win the Cup with Bolland. Now it's just a question of whether the Hawks put themselves in too big of a hole this series. One game at a time.

It's like he was never hurt, just a master stroke on Coach Q's part. I know coming back from my concussion I was three seconds behind the play for two weeks.

I'm still amazed at how well he played. I bet he is feeling a bit stiff today.

Just remember this game before starting a "Trade Bolland thread" the next time he has a bad stretch.

And if the next bad stretch is 30+ games ,,, Is that excusable?

Bolland's always shown up for the playoffs these past three years and is pretty meh during the regular season. It's just a tradeoff we're going to have to expect and accept.

Seems like that gets you traded around here.

I posted that I really didn't want him back because I was concerned for his safety, but it appears he's just been ************ the media or something because you don't come back from a major injury with that performance unless you know something they don't. God damn.

So the question is, if the Hawks make game 5 a game or even take it to 6 (or 7!) but lose, is the off-season chatter gonna be "why the hell didn't we activate him sooner"?

Actually, Bolland was having a fantastic finish to the year until he was concussed. He was looking fully recovered from hie previous injuries which hampered his game for the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the year. Not coincidentlally, the Hawks' difficulties arose when he went down.

Perhaps there are other centers in the NHL who could fill his role on the Hawks. The real question is could we even get one of them on the team. If not, then we keep him.

we just need a guy who can play Center #2-4. A guy like Goc. He can play Bottom 6 and Top 6 if needed. This is a big difference to Dowell or Johnson. It's called depth
